www.orgonenergy.org il portale italiano dedicato all’orgonomia An Innovative Method of Weather Modification Roberto Maglione, Cristian Sotgiu Biometeorology and Space Medicine Institute, Ludes University, Lugano, Switzerland This paper was presented at the VII International Conference on Cosmos and Biosphere: Cosmic Weather and Biological Process, October 1-6, 2007, Sudak, Crimea, Ukraine Abstract First experimental studies of cloud and fog seeding date back to 1919, where Altberg and colleagues at the Central Physical Observatory in Leningrad started experiments both with ice nucleation in supercooled water and with snowflakes growth; on lab fog production; and on cloud seeding with electrically charged sand. In 1934 the Dutch Veraart performed the first studies on seeding clouds with dry ice. Later on in the 1950s, Vonnegut performed the first experiments by seeding clouds with silver iodide with good results. In the last decades, several operations aimed at producing precipitation, controlling hail damage, dispersing of supercooled fog and clouds over airports, and dispersing clouds cover over large areas were carried out by using chemical agents. Diverting hurricanes path was also performed. However, many often the results that were obtained were contrasting and also sometimes an inversion of the tendency in weather conditions was observed with period of intense drought in areas where rainmaking experiments were previously carried out. In parallel, in the 1950s the Austrian scientist Wilhelm Reich started investigating and experimenting a new method of weather modification aimed at restoring the natural functioning of the atmosphere characterised by periodic cycles of rain and clear weather. The fundamental principle of this method, that was called Cloudbusting, is based on the presence in the atmosphere of a pulsatory cosmic energy (called orgone energy) postulated to be responsible for major atmospheric phenomena. -

The book is Wilhelm Reich's Character Analysis, first published in 1933. This influential psychoanalytic work embodies both a radical social theory and disturbing authoritarian attitudes. The thesis uses a variety of methodologies, in particular Roland Barthes' techniques for ascribing 2 historical meaning to certain formal qualities of writing. The thesis proceeds from a summary of methodological studies in intellectual history and criticism, including those of I. A. Richards, R. G. Collingwood, and Dominick LaCapra, as well as Barthes, to a description of Character Analysis and its various historical contexts - biographical, social, and intellectual. -

Introduction The Jews never faced much anti-Semitism in America. This is due, in large part, to the underlying ideologies it was founded on; namely, universalistic interpretations of Christianity and Enlightenment ideals of freedom, equality and opportunity for all. These principles, which were arguably created with noble intent – and based on the values inherent in a society of European-descended peoples of high moral character – crippled the defenses of the individualistic-minded White natives and gave the Jews free reign to consolidate power at a rather alarming rate, virtually unchecked. The Jews began emigrating to the United States in waves around 1880, when their population was only about 250,000. Within a decade that number was nearly double, and by the 1930s it had shot to 3 to 4 million. Many of these immigrants – if not most – were Eastern European Jews of the nastiest sort, and they immediately became vastly overrepresented among criminals and subversives. A 1908 police commissioner report shows that while the Jews made up only a quarter of the population of New York City at that time, they were responsible for 50% of its crime. Land of the free. Taking inspiration from the memoir A Book of Dreams[3] which Bush read and found deeply moving, [4] the song is about the very close relationship between psychiatrist and philosopher Cloud Busting Reich and his young son, Peter, told from the point of view of the mature Peter. It describes the boy's memories of his life with Reich on their family farm, called Orgononwhere the two spent time "cloudbusting", a rain-making process which involved using a machine designed and built by Reich — a machine called a cloudbuster — to point at the sky. The lyrics further describes the elder Reich's abrupt arrest and imprisonment, the pain of loss the young Peter felt, and his helplessness at being unable to protect his father. In a retrospective review of the single, AllMusic journalist Amy Hanson praised the song for its "magnificence" and "hypnotic mantric effects". Hanson wrote: "Safety and danger Cloud Busting threaded through the song, via both a thoughtful lyric and a compulsive cello-driven melody. Inthe song was performed live for the first time and was also chosen as the closing encore track in Cloud Busting comeback live shows titled Before the Dawnfollowing her year hiatus from the stage. The video shows the two on the top of a hill trying to make the cloudbuster work. Reich leaves Peter on the machine and returns to his lab. CLOUDBUSTER PROJECT Christoph Keller NY 2003 Reenactment of the scientific experiments of Wilhelm Reich from 1953–54 to influence the atmosphere by the means of orgone-energy. The reenactments of Cloudbuster experiments took place on the roof of P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center in Long Island City and on the top of the Clock Tower in lower Manhattan, New York. These actions were based on the invention of Wil- helm Reich, the Austrian born psychologist and early scholar of Freud who devel- oped a political theory of sexuality in the 1920s. Reich began initial experimenta- tion with making changes to the atmosphere in 1952, shortly after the ORANUR- experiments, which focus on the reaction of Orgone with nuclear energy. The reenactments had the aim of making rain over New York in the spring and summer of 2003. Out of the roof of the Clock Tower, the empty space of the missing World Trade Center Towers makes a distinct visual gap. The vacancy of these buildings dominated the general atmosphere in New York and had some influence on the Cloudbuster reenactments as well. It rained through the entire period of Cloudbuster operations in New York. The Cloudbuster has an uncomplicated mechanical structure, consisting of few rows of conductive metal pipes that are connected with hoses to a source of flowing water. A spacer made of organic material insulates each one of these metal conductors. According to Orgone theory, flowing water has a positive Orgone charge that can be channeled with the Cloudbuster into the sky. With activation, the apparatus attracts the Orgone present in the atmosphere, from zones of higher or lower Orgone potential. -

Shelton ainmaking has existed for tens of thousands of years as Ra part of ritual, religion, and tribal politics (Lewis Williams 1977). In historical times, a variety of methods have been used in an attempt to increase rainfall, but mod ern rainmaking began in 1946 when a chance laboratory ob servation suggested that the introduction of dry ice into a supercooled cloud would stimulate the natural precipitation process. Later that year, two General Electric scientists suc cessfully seeded cumulus clouds in New Mexico with dry ice (Fleagle 1968), and silver iodide crystals were discovered to be efficient ice-forming nuclei for promoting precipitation processes. Although many cloud seeding experiments have claimed success in enhancing precipitation in target areas, the effects of cloud seeding on precipitation patterns down wind of target areas have been debated since the beginning of modern weather modification activities. Brier and Kline (1966) reported positive precipitation anomalies up to 240 kilometers downwind of target areas, and Gabriel and Mather (1986) concluded that summer precipitation was rel atively high downwind from seeding areas. In contrast, rain shadow enhancement was detected downwind from a Dr. Bulman is Assistant Professor of Geography at Portland State University. This thesis analyses a selection of her earlier work in order to establish how she represents issues of gender and sexuality in her lyrics and performances. Her work is evaluated through the lens of two feminist theories: écriture feminine and gender performativity. Écriture féminine is employed to determine how Bush writes and reclaims female sexuality, while gender performativity subsequently shows how she transcends her position as a woman by taking on and representing characters of the opposite gender. This thesis argues that Bush constructs narratives in her lyrics to represent experiences which transcend the boundaries of binary gender and challenge social sexual norms. Evaluate the use of forces, structure and tonality in ‘Hounds of Love’ by Kate Bush Kate Bush is a British singer and composer who released the album ‘Hounds of Love’ in 1985. The style which she sang and wrote music was very unique and avant-garde, providing a distinctive concept with her music compared to other musicians around the same time. Most of Kate’s works were inspired by novels and historical sources as well as being influenced by genres such as folk, electronic and classical music which allowed her to create something diverse. In this essay, I will be exploring the ways that Kate Bush created the unique style that she was known for by evaluating the uses of instrumentation, structure and tonality in the songs ‘Cloud busting’, ‘And Dream of Sheep’ and ‘Under Ice’ t o understand how she achieved a sense of individuality and broke new ground. One of the most prominent features of Kate Bush’s works was the choice of instrumentation that she used. Instead of focusing on the standard pop instrumentation, she experimented with new technological advances and also instruments associated with different genres and styles. In the song ‘Cloudbusting’, a string sextet provides the main accompaniment and was not considered as a typical instrument in the pop genre, this was due mainly due to its inability to be performed live. Another example of a song which uses strings as a main accompaniment is ‘Eleanor Rigby’ by the Beatles, who were also know to have broken new ground due to their instrumentation choices which were not able to support a live performance. -
