This tour starts in Hobart and finishes in Launceston, 4 Days and 3 Nights Camping and Walking Tour

The ideal tour to experience ’s wild and remote west coast. We aim to stay away from the crowds, from camping in the bush to sleeping beside the ocean under the stars. Each day we participate in bush walks from 1- 5 hours and travel by four-wheel-drives or mini . Each night we experience bush camping and delicious meals with campfire cooking. When we camp we use tents or you can sleep under the stars and we supply cosy swags or inflatable camp mats. We see and appreciate Tasmania’s unique wildlife in the wild

Day 1 (L,D) Hobart - Mt Field - Lake St Clair

Depart Hobart about 7.30am. Enjoy a hike to Lady , and Horseshoe Falls (+3hr walk) or roam in the highlands around Lake Dobson. Bush camp near highland lakes

Day 2 (B,L,D) Lake St Clair - West Coast Walks

Driving to through Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park visit Stop off at and look out into the Wilderness World Heritage area from Donaghy’s Lookout. Bush walk at one of Tasmania's tallest waterfalls (+3hr walk) OR walk Mt Agnew above Trial Harbour for amazing coastal views. Find camp and listen to the ocean

Day 3 (B,L,D) West Coast - to Cradle Plateau

Beach combing on the rugged west coast (1 - 2 hours) before heading back inland. An optional walk to the Mt Murchison Lookout (1.5 hours) will offer a breathtaking view of many mountains in Tasmania's World Heritage area. Continue our journey to Cradle Mountain and our bush camp

Day 4 (B,L) Cradle Mountain

We are close to Cradle Mountain so its up early for a a choice of many hikes such as Marion's Lookout or Hanson’s Peak / Face track (4+ hour walk). After lunch we depart for Launceston arriving around 5pm. We will drop you off to your accommodation

What to expect

This is a small group guided 4 Day active camping and walking tour exploring the Central Highlands and West Coast of Tasmania. We encourage participation in duties around the camp like cooking and clean up from meals as we find this makes a great sense of team spirit

Accommodation is twin share in quality hiking tents swags or inflatable sleeping mats are provided but you will need to bring your own sleeping bag or hire one off us for $20. We will move camp each day

We are usually up between 6.30 and 7.00 for breakfast and will be off for the days walks from about 8am depending on if we have to drive to the start of the walk or leave from camp

Lunch is usually a healthy mix of meats, salads and breads or wraps and may be on the trail or at the vehicle on a stop along the way

Dinners - 2 course - will be in camp between 7 and 8pm and will be wholesome mix of meal styles (we do more than just BBQ meat) Most dietary needs can be catered for with notice

Walks may be a several 1 to 2 hour trails or one longer 4 to 5 hour walk
