On the first weekend in May, the new Audi RS 3 LMS was homologated five weeks before its racing debut. Audi R8 LMS GT3 Successful dance into May: Audi Sport Italia managed a convincing start in the Campionato Italiano GT Sprint. The first sprint at Monza had to be abandoned in heavy rain on Saturday. After the continuation on Sunday over the remaining distance of 23 laps and a joint classification of both parts of the race, Daniel Mancinelli/Vito Postiglione in the Audi R8 LMS from Audi Sport Italia stormed forward from seventh to second place. In the second race, the team of Emilio Radaelli and Ferdinando Geri again recorded a podium result. Riccardo Agostini and Lorenzo Ferrari in the team’s second Audi R8 LMS fended off all attacks by their pursuers and defended their second position all the way to the finish while the sister car improved from 15th to fifth place. After the season opener, Audi leads the manufacturers standings in Italy with a twelve- point advantage over Ferrari. The series features a line-up of seven manufacturers in the 2021 season. In the drivers standings Riccardo Agostini/Lorenzo Ferrari in second place are level with the leaders with 22 points.

Motor racing is an intrinsic part of the Renault DNA and from Formula E races in cities to rallying through to Formula 1, we have always achieved outstanding results. Renault Sport Formula One Team’s ambition is clearly to uphold the outstanding record of the past and the 2017 season has confirmed we are on the right track. We are a team on the rise. We have two very talented drivers who are hungry for results. Enstone is regenerated and the workforce has already increased by more than 35%. At Viry, our long-term commitment in several motorsport categories allows to develop a detailed plan for our facilities. Our investment has so far been successfully translated to the track as we rose from ninth to sixth in the Constructors’ Championship in 2017 and ended the year with the fourth fastest car. The success of the programme in just two years is testament to the resilient plan laid down early in the creation of the team and the strong job done by Cyril and the entire Renault Sport Racing teams. It is my fault entirely. The stress involved with finally selling our property in Auckland and organizing making the big move back to the Manawatu happen at the end of November (without a home to go to as I write) has just added to the pressure of being busy at work. I didn’t realize just how much “stuff” we had accumulated, all of which needed to be moved somewhere, although a very thorough cull went on and rest assured most of it wasn’t car related!! Plus, we have been trying to work out how to deal with the animals which we want to bring down. Add in some rather awkward buyers and the stress levels have been pretty high. Uncertainty ahead, hell no, only opportunities if I can open my eyes wide enough to see them!! Although I worked at the yard the weekend of the MG Classic meeting, I did make it over to the circuit on Sunday (my first time at this meeting for some years) to support Ian who was racing his XR8. And what a great meeting it was. Beautiful weather, a huge grid of Central Muscle cars, in fact BIG grids in every class, and superb racing, with MCC members featuring prominently. There are certainly some stunning race cars out there and even a wander through the carpark found some gems.

    TC R Technical Regulations 2017 ART. 1 GENERAL REMARKS Unless otherwise defined in the present regulations, TCR International Series 2016 respects following FIA rules: - FIA App. J, Art. 251, 252, 253, 277 - FIA General Prescriptions applicable to International Series The present regulations points also to the FIA App. J, Art. 255 and 263. The Technical Form has to be completed by the Manufacturer or Tuner with all requested information and will be common for all race cars of the model. Manufacturers or their representatives have to accept that the car of the make will be prepared according to TCR Regulation. WSC reserves the right to forbid the use of any part that is deemed outside of the TCR concept and to accept waivers to these regulations on request of Manufacturers or Tuners. Any action related to the employed parts not explicitly allowed by these regulations is forbidden. Everything not expressly permitted, is prohibited. ART. 2 DEFINITION 2.1 Bodywork See App. J; Art. 251.2.5.2 Any air intake is considered to be part of the bodywork. 2.2 Chassis (Body shell) The main body of the car into which is fitted the engine, transmission, running gear, electrical systems, seats, controls, bodywork, etc. 2.3 Production (part) As fitted to the basic mass production car; the proof rests with the competitors. 2.4 Original As fitted to the WSC-certified car and in compliance with the TCR Technical Form. 2.5 Minimum Weight is the weight of the car without driver, with empty tanks of consumable fluids (fuel, wind screen wash & drinking water, etc.) and with all other tanks filled at the working level.
