In here you will find important information about me, my achievements and my goals as a race driver. Even though this booklet cannot and should not be a substitute for a face-to- face meeting it will provide initial information about the possibilities of a partnership. Motorsports has been gaining more and more popularity over the years, and it is the perfect platform for presenting your compa- ny. Attributes like dynamics, speed, prestige, precision or passion are ideal for a high-profile placement of your products and the communication through the medium motorsports. The chances are huge – take advantage of them! I am looking forward to hearing from you. Maximilian Buhk 3 Maximilian Buhk Name: Maximilian Buhk Date of birth: 09 Dec 1992 Place of birth: Reinbek Address: Bargkoppel 3 21521 Dassendorf, Germany My family: Father: Andreas Buhk Mother: Annette Buhk Siblings: Lucas Buhk Hobbies: motorsports, fitness, skiing, golfing Height: 168 cm Weight: 55 kg Language skills: German, English Education: commercial college Role models: Sebastian Vettel, Timo Glock Motorsports since: 2004 (karting – circuit) Goal: to become a professional race driver 4 5 Maximilian Buhk tests DTM Mercedes AMG C-Class Mercedes-AMG rewarded Maximilian Buhk, who has only been active in GT sports for one and a half years, with a test drive in a DTM Mercedes-Benz AMG C-Class. Buhk gained his first experiences with a car of the most popular international touring-car series at Lausitzring last September. As a result of his impressive performance, he immediately received another invitation for a second test session at Estoril. 6 Maximilian Buhk Motorsports has a long tradition in my family. My grandfather used to compete in races. He participated in the Rallye Monte Carlo among others. My father was involved in motorsports for a long time as well. After his beginnings in karting he achieved success in Formula 3. I started my career in motorsports at the MSC Geesthacht with slalom karting. My first bambini race was a major step and marked my debut on a circuit. After two years in the bambini class I contested the junior category (KF3) in the North German and German Kart Championship for another two years. At the end of my career in karting I contested the German Kart Championship and the ADAC Championship in 2009 as well as the senior category (KF2) in international races. In 2010 I took the major step into car racing. The Formel ADAC is the perfect entry-level class for Formula racing, and I trusted the professionalism of the successful KUG-Motorsport team and the ma-con Motorsport team. Following two successful years in Formula racing, I advanced to touring car racing for Heico Motorsport in 2012. I started my debut GT3 season with a podium place at the 24h Dubai and a victory at the season kick-off of the European Champi- onship. I finished the FIA GT3 European Championship as the youngest winner of the title ever, which was a spectacular success. At the season‘s finale of the 2013 ADAC GT Masters I was forced to retire early due to a technical fault, which cost me the title. However, since we secured the victory in both the legendary 24 Hours of Spa (youngest winner ever) and the 1,000km Nürburg- ring I won the title in the Blancpain Endurance Series. The ADAC Junior Motor Racer of the Year award is a positive end to a very successful season. I was also voted the fifth best GT driver in the world by the English media. In only 18 months of touring car racing I won four international championships and scored two international titles. I am dedicated and ambitious. I am willing to learn new things and improve my skills. I consider myself a team player and know how to express myself. I would like to thank my sponsors and Polarweiss Schöner Wohnen in particular for their professional support. 7 Achievements 2013: ADAC Junior Motor Racer of the Year 2011: 9th in the overall standings of the Formel ADAC Blancpain Endurance Champion Victory in the 24 Hours of Spa 2010: 12th in the overall standings of the Formel ADAC (youngest winner ever) Victory in the 1,000km Nürburgring 2006-2009 Karting: 3rd in the overall standings of the ADAC GT Masters 1st place North German ADAC Kart Cup KF2 2009 7th in the overall standings of the FIA GT Series 1st place team championship ADAC Bundesendlauf 2008 1st place ADAC GT Masters Nürburgring 1st place ADAC Bundesendlauf KF3 2008 1st place FIA GT Series Zandvoort 1st place ADAC Hansa Championship 2007 1st place North German ADAC Kart Cup 2012: 1st in the overall driver standings of the ICA junior category 2007 FIA GT3 European Championship 1st place team championship ADAC Bundesendlauf 2007 1st in the overall team standings of the 1st place ADAC Bundesendlauf ICA junior category 2007 FIA GT3 European Championship 1st place North German ADAC Kart Cup Bambini A 2006 11th in the overall standings of the ADAC GT Masters 1st place team championship ADAC Bundesendlauf 2006 2nd in the overall standings of the 24h Dubai Double victory FIA GT3 European Championship Nürburgring 1st place FIA GT3 European Championship Moscow Raceway 1st place FIA GT3 European Championship Algarve 1st place FIA GT3 European Championship Navarra 1st place FIA GT3 European Championship Nogaro 8 Comments on Maximilian Buhk ADAC Sports President Hermann Tomczyk: “Maximilian Buhk surprised everybody – not only in the ADAC GT Masters. He has talent and the right skills and is on a good way. The award should also motivate him to constantly develop further. He is young, fast and successful, and he has all the necessary assets for a successful career in motorsports. The ADAC Junior Motor Racer of the Year award will give his career another boost.” Toto Wolff, Head of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport: “Maximilian Buhk belongs to the group of big sports car racing talents and well deserved this test with his performance in the Mercedes-AMG customer-sport programme. During his test at Lausitzring, he demonstrated that he is not only quick and competitive in the gull-wing racer but has got what it takes to also set fast lap times and provide good feedback in a DTM car. I am convinced that he will forge ahead and has got the talent to celebrate numerous further successes, in the future.” Norbert Brückner, HTP Motorsport Team Principal: “Congratulations to Maximilian Buhk for winning the title. He really deserved it. He and his team-mates put in a fantastic performance throughout the season – incredible, what a professional job Maximilian did, considering that he is only 20 years old!” 9 Debut victory in the FIA GT Series Maximilian Buhk and his partner Alon Day (ISR) won the third race of the newly established FIA GT Series, which is contested by the best GT3 drivers of the world, at Zandvoort, the Netherlands. It was his first victory. 10 Victory in the prestigious 1,000km Nürburgring In a gripping finish Maximilian Buhk took the lead after an impressive overtaking manoeuvre. As a result of winning the prestigious 1,000km Nürburgring he also secured the drivers‘ title in the Blancpain Endurance series. 11 Debut victory in the ADAC GT Masters Maximilian Buhk, who is just 20 years of age, celebrated his first victory in the ADAC GT Masters series, which boasts a grid of international, high-profile drivers, at Nürburgring last August. 12 Sponsoring The massive involvement in Formula 1, the revitalisation of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and comprehensive coverage in TV and the print media have made motorsports a premium brand in sports. At the same time, general interest in car racing series like the ADAC GT Masters is increasing. Dynamic, prestige, technology as well as speed, passion and emotions...just to name a few of the positive attributes that are associated with motorsports. The possibilities for sponsoring Maximilian Buhk are flexible and can be stipulated by contract according to your requirements. 13 Sponsoring Possible activities in a partnership Advertising & media In addition to the usual advertising spaces on the racing suit, vehicles, equipment etc. we offer a marketing organisation, which ensures that you see your logo in the media. Numerous reports about the drivers of the team in the print media (including covers) as well as on TV, the Internet, at trade fairs etc. speak for themselves. The concept of the ADAC GT Masters consists of a double bill each competition weekend, with a one-hour race being staged on both Saturday and Sunday. Each car has two drivers who change over half way through the race. German TV station kabel eins broadcasts the events live on Saturday and Sunday. Events & experiences We can make motorsports an unforgettable experience for your customers, employees etc. Take advantage of the impressive atmosphere in our VIP lounge at the circuit and use it to secure customer loyalty or to motivate your employees.
