McIver Avondale University College Introduction The doctrine of Creation has always been of great importance to Seventh-day Adventists (SDAs), probably because of its connection to one of their crucial distinguishing beliefs—the seventh-day Sabbath (Ex. 20:8–11). For example, as he contemplates “Seven reasons why it really does matter what we believe about Creation”, Greg King states, The seventh reason why it matters what we believe about Creation is the Sabbath.
