he Malaysian Embassy took part in the International Cuisine Tand Culture Festival “Food Planet 2018”, a major public event held annually at the main city square of Novi Sad, the capital of the Serbian province of Vojvodina and one of Serbia’s largest cultural centres. The Festival saw the participation of 23 countries through the month of May 2018. Malaysia’s rich cuisine flavours were presented through a cooking demonstration by the Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy. The pres- entation of Mee Goreng Mamak (Mamak Fried Noodles) and Apam Curious visitors gathered for a cooking demonstration conducted by the Chargé d’Affaires Balik (Malaysian-style pancakes) drew a large crowd, as it versatile and very easy to prepare. Another special attraction during the cooking demonstration was the cokking demonstration of Apam Balik, Malaysian-styled pancake and Nescafe Tarik (“Foamed” Nes- cafe), a popular drink in Malaysia. The visitors also had the opportunity to sample these Malaysian specialities prepared by the ladies of PERWAKILAN Belgrade.
