- In mid May of 2008 I beat out 8000 other hopefuls for a chance to be flown to Los Angeles for a screen test for the Horrorfest: 8 Films to Die For: Perkins' 14 Competition, from massify.com, placing ninth. The special features on the dvd of the film contains much of the contest content, which I am included in.
- My film, Spider-Man: Dead Man Laughing, placed second in the Target: Spider-Man 3: Spin your own webisode animated contest.
- I became a local favorite to appear on the second season of SyFy's "Stan Lee's Who Wants to be a Superhero?". Though I did not make the final 10, I was featured in the arts sections of the Houston Chronicle and the San Antonio Express News.
