Day 1: City of origin Mandalay Flight to Mandalay. Night on board. Day 2: Mandalay Welcome at the airport and transfer to hotel. Free time and overnight. Day 3: Mandalay Breakfast at the hotel.Boat trip to Mingun down the Ayeyarwaddy River. Along the way, you'll see beautiful landscapes and observe the daily lives of the people who live on the banks. Afterwards, you'll return to Mandalay and visit the traditional craft workshops. And lastly, you'll enjoy sunset at Mandalay Hill. Highlights of the day include the unfinished Mingun pagoda, the 90tonne bell, the Myatheindan pagoda, the Kuthodaw pagoda and the Golden Palace. Lunch at a local restaurant. Overnight stay. Day 4: Mandalay Amarapura Ava Mandalay Breakfast at the hotel. Mandalay, with its many monasteries and pagodas, is the cultural center of Myanmar. First, you'll will visit Amarapura, an ancient capital where more than 1,000 monks live. You'll continue with a visit to Sagaing and Sagaing Hill, where there is a fascinating panoramic view of the Ayeyarwaddy River, and more than 700 monasteries.You'll continue with a trip to Ava, where you'll enjoy a horse carriage ride.End the day watching the sunset from the UBein teak bridge.Highlights of the day include the Mahagandaryon monastery and a silk factory. Lunch at a local restaurant. Overnight stay. Day 5: Mandalay Pyin Oo Lwin Breakfast at the hotel. Depart by road to Pyin Oo Lwin, 67 kilometers from Mandalay, following the road up to Shan Plateau. Lunch at a local restaurant. Overnight stay. Day 6: Pyin Oo Lwin Kyaukme Mandalay Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Kyaukme, a small town 110 kilometers away.You'll pass through the Gohtike Gorge, stopping to enjoy the natural environment and the famous Gohtike Viaduct. You'll then take a train back to Pyin Oo Lwin, the best way to explore the authentic local life and enjoy a tour through nature. Arrival at Pyin Oo Lwin and transfer to Mandalay. Picnic lunch. Overnight stay. Day 7: Mandalay Monywa Breakfast at the hotel.Let's go to Monywa, a typical Burmese town located next to the Chindwin river. En route, you'll stop at the Thanbode temple which has more than 500,000 Buddha images, and the Bodhitathaung temple which has more than 1,000 images of Buddha sitting under a ficus tree. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you'll visit the Powintaung Caves, located on a hill, which houses more than 400,000 Buddha images. Overnight stay in Monywa. Day 8: Monywa Myinmu Bagan Breakfast at the hotel. Depart by road to Myinmu, where you'll take a cruise sailing down the Ayeyarwaddy River to Bagan. Transfer to hotel upon arrival. Picnic lunch on board the cruise. Overnight stay in Bagan. Day 9: Bagan Breakfast at the hotel. You'll visit a local house to try traditional food and learn about Burmese hospitality. Your hosts will explain the local market, where you'll visit, and you'll enjoy a great lunch after a twohour long cooking class. Later, you'll visit famous Bagan temples and pagodas, as well as a lacquered craftworks factory. And lastly, you'll enjoy the sunset on a hill. Day 10: Bagan Mt. Popa Bagan Breakfast at the hotel. You'll visit Anauk Onh village, where you'll observe the daily life, houses and customs of the locals, their school, and a fried beans cooking class. Go up to the pagoda on the hill to get a panoramic view. Meal at a local restaurant.From there you'll go to Mount Popa, an extinct volcano known as "the House of the Spirits". You'll climb the 777 steps up to the top and the temple erected there. Back to Bagan, you'll make a stop in the palm grove to taste the local juice. End the day with a boat ride on the river at sunset. Day 11: Bagan Heho Taunggyi Kakku Inle Lake Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Da Nang.Upon arrival, there's an excursion to Kakku, where there are more than 5200 stupas, most of them from between the 11th and 13th centuries, and various Buddha statues. Lunch at a local restaurant.In the afternoon, you'll continue towards Inle. Overnight stay. Day 12: Inle Lake Breakfast at the hotel. Today you'll sail through Inle lake, visiting the Paoh village of Inn Thein, where you'll see stupas covered with vegetation, a school, magnificent views of the lake and a bamboo forest. On the lake, you'll also see floating gardens, farms, and villages, and you'll visit the Phaungdaw Oo and Nge Pha Chaung pagoda, and the monastery of jumping cats. Lunch at a local restaurant. Overnight stay in Inle. Day 13: Inle Lake Yangon Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Da Nang. Transfer to hotel upon arrival. Visit to the colonial area. You'll take a ride on the circular train and discover the Shwedagon Pagoda. Lunch at a local restaurant. Overnight stay in Yangon. Day 14: Yangon City of origin Breakfast at the hotel.
