Cockburn Central Community Concert ready to rock with headlining

The Cockburn Central Community Concert will kick off on Saturday, 9 February 2019 from 7pm-9.30pm at Cockburn ARC, Veterans Parade, Cockburn Central.

This year’s concert is set to dazzle with the announcement that home-grown international sensation San Cisco will headline.

The four piece indie/pop outfit rocketed to stardom in 2011 with the launch of their EP ‘Awkward’ which was voted into seventh position on Hottest 100 Countdown.

The group has since released three albums to critical acclaim both at home and abroad. The band released their most recent album, the Water, in 2017 and embarked on their biggest tour to date – playing 21 shows in 46 days across America, Europe and Australia.

The members of San Sisco – Jordi Davieson, Josh Biondillo, and Jennifer Aslett – are local talent, hailing from , Western Australia.

San Cisco will be supported by upcoming local group Farraday’s Cage, consisting of duo Faraday Tween and Calvin Bennett, who are also from Fremantle. In 2018, Faraday’s Cage were awarded with a West Australian Music Song of the Year for their track ‘The Fire Inside’.

Mayor Logan Howlett said that City is pleased to be hosting the concert at Cockburn Central for the second time.

“It promises to be a wonderful community event and as always the City is proud to be able to put on magnificent free events like this for our residents,” said Mayor Howlett.

The MC for the night is TV and radio presenter Carmen Braidwood.

The event is an alcohol and smoke free. Entry is free.
