INFORME DEL PROCESO DE PARTICIPACIÓN ...................................................... 143 Índice Plan de Turismo Comarcal PRESENTACIÓN Presentación Plan de Turismo Comarcal PRESENTACIÓN La Ribera Navarra se encuentra ubicada en el Valle Medio del Ebro al sur de la Comunidad Foral de Navarra integrando su ámbito territorial un total de 28 municipios, que suman una población de 119.515 personas1, representando en términos relativos el 19% de la población navarra. La relación entre población y superficie pone de manifiesto una baja densidad poblacional que asciende a 88 habitantes por km2, resultando superior a la que presenta el conjunto de Navarra (67 habitantes por km2), mostrando un buen equilibrio entre población y territorio. Los municipios integrantes de la Ribera Navarra presentan diferencias significativas en cuanto a su tamaño poblacional, predominando los municipios con una población entre 2.000 y 5.000 personas (61% de los mismos). El municipio con mayor tamaño poblacional (Tudela) supera la barrera de los 35.000 habitantes resultando el segundo más poblado de toda Navarra, y los que presentan menor tamaño poblacional cuentan con menos de 250 habitantes. En conjunto, la Ribera Navarra cuenta con núcleos con buena base poblacional, presentando un tamaño que favorece la dinámica económica y la existencia de servicios especializados de atención a la población, registrando buenos estándares de bienestar y calidad de vida. La Comarca presenta una extensión de 1.345 Km2, enmarcados en el tramo medio del Río Ebro junto a sus principales afluentes en Navarra, los ríos Ega, Arga, Aragón, Alhama y Queiles, lo que le confiere un paisaje característico determinado por los condicionantes físicos, bióticos y humanos. 1 Población a 01/01/2018. Presentación Plan de Turismo Comarcal 1 En Noviembre de 2017 el Consorcio EDER, entidad integrada por 26 Ayuntamientos de la Ribera de Navarra, la Comunidad de Bardenas Reales y las principales asociaciones representativas del tejido económico y social de la Comarca, aprobó su Estrategia de Especialización Inteligente (ECEI RN), instrumento para la transformación económica comarcal en los próximos años, en el que el turismo constituye uno de los pilares fundamentales para impulsar la innovación y mejorar del desarrollo económico y bienestar de la ciudadanía ribera. En referencia al sector turístico la ECEI RN establece como objetivo general “Posicionar el sector turístico de la Ribera Navarra como uno de los referentes fundamentales de la actividad turística de Navarra y de la economía ribera, articulando su oferta para convertir el espacio turístico comarcal en destino turístico que proporcione valor y empleo a la Comarca, asegurando una gestión de la oferta y la demanda que garanticen su sostenibilidad y calidad”. Para ello plantea la consecución de los siguientes retos: Definir la estrategia turística de la Ribera Navarra, ordenando la puesta en valor de sus recursos potenciales desde criterios de sostenibilidad. Diseñar una oferta turística integral, diversa y desestacionalizada en base a la creación de productos turísticos basados en el aprovechamiento de los recursos de mayor valor por su atractivo y potencial diferenciador. Promover la oferta turística y gestionar la demanda turística de los mercados de interés para la Comarca. Impulsar la profesionalización y competitividad de las empresas turísticas. Implantar un modelo de gobernanza para el impulso y desarrollo del sector turístico en la Ribera Navarra La ECEI RN se encuentra alineada con la línea metodológica y las prioridades temáticas establecidas en la Estrategia de Especialización Inteligente de Navarra (S3), respondiendo en el caso del turismo al reto nº10 de la misma “Nuevos nichos de oferta turística integral”. En este contexto la ECEI RN aprobada por el Consorcio EDER para el periodo 2017‐2030 plantea como actuación estratégica del eje temático del sector turístico la elaboración y ejecución del Plan de Turismo Comarcal, que permita planificar de forma ordenada y en base a objetivos de sostenibilidad el desarrollo turístico en el territorio. El presente documento recoge los elementos que configuran dicho Plan, articulados en base a la siguiente estructura: Diagnóstico y DAFO. Con la identificación, análisis y valoración de los aspectos que configuran el turismo en la ribera y su futura evolución. Plan Operativo. Con la definición de la Estrategia de desarrollo turístico y Plan de acción. Anexos. Con la metodología de trabajo y proceso participativo. La elaboración del Plan de Turismo Comarcal ha contado

Our data suggest that these microbial communities have been shaped by geochemical drivers, including water content, salinity, and the supply of organic matter.

A comprehensive map of the saline wetlands that occur in karstic depressions in the semiarid region of Monegros, NE Spain, was developed from historical data, topography, and surveys of vascular flora. Playa-lakes and other saline depressions are expressions of solution dolines largely founded on groundwater dynamics and favored by the limestone and gypsum-rich substrate. Substrate composition, groundwater dynamics, and the network of infilled valleys are key factors in the distribution of the wetlands. In spite of the anthropogenic imprint, wetlands morphometrics are the expression of geological processes. Significant correlations were found between basin area and depth, and between elongation and substrate composition. The predominantly subelongated shape of the Monegros saline wetlands reflects their origin and a geometry strongly influenced by fractures.

    Actinobacterial Diversity in Atacama Desert Habitats as a Road Map to Biodiscovery A thesis submitted by Hamidah Idris for the award of Doctor of Philosophy July 2016 School of Biology, Faculty of Science, Agriculture and Engineering, Newcastle University, Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom Abstract The Atacama Desert of Northern Chile, the oldest and driest nonpolar desert on the planet, is known to harbour previously undiscovered actinobacterial taxa with the capacity to synthesize novel natural products. In the present study, culture-dependent and culture- independent methods were used to further our understanding of the extent of actinobacterial diversity in Atacama Desert habitats. The culture-dependent studies focused on the selective isolation, screening and dereplication of actinobacteria from high altitude soils from Cerro Chajnantor. Several strains, notably isolates designated H9 and H45, were found to produce new specialized metabolites. Isolate H45 synthesized six novel metabolites, lentzeosides A-F, some of which inhibited HIV-1 integrase activity. Polyphasic taxonomic studies on isolates H45 and H9 showed that they represented new species of the genera Lentzea and Streptomyces, respectively; it is proposed that these strains be designated as Lentzea chajnantorensis sp. nov. and Streptomyces aridus sp. nov.. Additional isolates from sampling sites on Cerro Chajnantor were considered to be nuclei of novel species of Actinomadura, Amycolatopsis, Cryptosporangium and Pseudonocardia. A majority of the isolates produced bioactive compounds that inhibited the growth of one or more strains from a panel of six wild type microorganisms while those screened against Bacillus subtilis reporter strains inhibited sporulation and cell envelope, cell wall, DNA and fatty acid synthesis.

Additional faunistic records from 42 countries are also presented, including first records of L. hyalinus from Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and Bolivia. Information about the worldwide distribution, host plants, ecology, bionomics, harmfulness, and natural enemies of the species is reviewed. Liorhyssus hyalinus is a cosmopolitan, euryecous, polyphagous species, recorded in association with at least 172 plant taxa from 38 families, being able to develop on at least 22 taxa from 9 plant families. Its recent northward expansion in western and central Europe is discussed in connection with possible global warming.
