Job search Self employment INCLUSION The softskills requirement

In January 2019, the job search engine Adzuna.fr made a study on the soft skills most frequently mentioned by recruiters - On 850,000 job offers in - 5,5 millions in 6 countries

In France, 80% of job offers require one or more of these skills related to life skills.

The requirement for soft skills varies from one country to another. Not all countries are equally interested in the personal skills of candidates : Top 3 of the "soft skills" most requested by recruiters by country The United States is very demanding in terms of soft skills : mentioned in 90% of the job offers analysed The : 86% France: 80% : 79% : 72% : 70% The skills most in demand are organization and motivation, across all countries. Differences between English-speaking countries and their European counterparts. More than a quarter of British and American recruiters demand organizational skills, compared to 10% of French and Italian recruiters. Skills more or less valued depending on the country

The Anglo-Saxon countries have important similarities in their demand for soft skills, but in the United States, attendance is preferred to British motivation.

In the Netherlands and Germany, recruiters attach importance to willingness, enthusiasm, motivation and a culture of results.

France and Italy focus on the way of working and the general behaviour of candidates. They expect a person to be able to prioritize his tasks, organize and manage his time rigorously in order to plan actions to be carried out over the long term. Networking and creativity, a winning duo for Anglo-Saxon recruiters

Some specific qualities are more highly valued in the United States, such as the ability to network: develop a network of relationships and benefit from them in a professional capacity. In the United States (12%) and the United Kingdom (9.8%).

In contrast, in France, Germany, the Netherlands and Italy, demand is almost nil. The United Kingdom (7.2%), the United States (5.8%) and Germany (4.5%) are the most demanding countries for creativity in recruitment: the Netherlands (3.2%), France (1.7%;) and Italy (0.3%) relegate this quality to second place.
