He is one of the most important types of berries in the world, and is one of the most profitable crops in the overall crop production. By production volume, Serbia is among the leading producers of raspberries, and its economic significance is very high level of market sells and market competitiveness of the European Union. Accordingly, the paper presents the production season in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2000-2010 its average, minimum and maximum of values in production, changes in rates and coefficients of variation. Key words: raspberry, production, economic importance. JEL: Q13, Q11 Introduction The most significant production for the economy of our country within fruit production is the production of berrylike fruit (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, cranberries, gooseberries) since an annual turnover realized with the export of this fruit, and first of all the export of raspberries, is more than 120 million of euros (Kljajic, 2012.). Raspberry (Rubus idaeus L.) is the most important kind of berry-like fruit. Growing raspberries has a very long tradition in our country, longer than a century. -

A. Situation analysis Description of the disaster For two weeks before the date of the disaster, which occurred on 22-24 June, the Republic of Serbia was affected by heavy rainfalls. The most affected areas are Kolubarski, Moravicki, Raski, Zlatiborski, Rasinski, Toplicki, Jablanicki, and Pomoravski districts. 8 municipalities and cities reported on 22 June that were affected by heavy rain that caused flash floods and floods. It was reported that the municipalities of Osecina, Ljubovija, and Lucani are the most affected by heavy rain (more than 40 litres per square meter in 24 hours) leading to floods in the whole region. -

DREF operation n° MDRRS002 Serbia: Floods GLIDE n° FL-2009-000245-SRB 18 May 2010 The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) Disaster Relief Emergency Fund (DREF) is a source of un-earmarked money created by the Federation in 1985 to ensure that immediate financial support is available for Red Cross Red Crescent response to emergencies. The DREF is a vital part of the International Federation’s disaster response system and increases the ability of National Societies to respond to disasters. Summary: CHF 51,027 (USD 50,574 or EUR 33,779) was allocated from the International Federation’s Disaster Relief Emergency Fund (DREF) to support the National Society in delivering immediate assistance to some 3,210 beneficiaries. Unearmarked funds to repay DREF are encouraged. Heavy rains in the south-west of Serbia caused floods in several villages and cities on 6 and 7 November, forcing approximately 300 families out of their houses and into temporary shelter and destroying food-reserves, agricultural soil and household equipment of 1,080 families. The 1,080 affected families, amounting to approximately 3,210 people, who were displaced from their flooded houses, were supported through the DREF operation in staying with relatives or in collective accommodation through the provision of canned food and basic non-food Affected people on flooded property in the south- items. May 2019 THE URBAN BLOCK IN WESTERN SERBIA BOROUGHS IN THE 19TH CENTURY Duško Kuzović*1 * College of Engineering, Depratment of Architecture Engineering, Dhofar Univesity, Salalah, Sultanate of Oman Abstract: Boroughs in southwestern Serbia were created during the 19th century. Development began after 1830, primarily through the construction of planned settlements (Požega, 1832; Rogačica, 1839; Bajina Bašta,1858). Thereafter, the reconstruction of old settlements (Užice,1863) or settlements previously founded according to plans that were not respected began (Ivanjica, 1848). In the third phase, it was accessed by the regulation of the boroughs were formed on the routes of important roads (Kosjerić, 1892) or in addition to important church centres (Arilje, 1880). As one of the important elements of the settlement stands out the urban block. The paper research: the relationship between the block and the street/street front, block and plot, and block and neighbourhood units. The geometry of the block in the planned townships was the result of a definition of the street network. Through the plans, the street network was first defined and the space between the streets was reserved for the block. The block was not the goal of the planning process but the traffic network. In the spontaneously formed towns, the main street was formed along the route of the roads. In Užice, through two plans (1863,1891) has been finished corrections of the geometry of the blocks, retaining the existing routes of the streets. -
Landfill ,,Deep” Was Put Into Trial Operation
Landfill ,,Deep” was put into trial operation Regional Landfill “Deep”, built seven kilometers from Uzice, designed for waste management in nine cities and municipalities, was put into trial operation. Year(annual) will be transported here 90,000 tons of garbage produced by 370,000 people from the Zlatibor district . On Tuesday, the first time put into the operation, center of the selection of waste, mostly automated. – What machines can’t do alone, will work only 14 employers. The system heats up, we received a first quantity of waste from Uzice and Cacak.- Soon will join Kosjerić and Pozega because these municipalities have built the necessary transfer station – explained Ivan Djokic, director of the PUC, “Deep”.- Later,the waste transporting supplies here and companies from Bajina Basta, Arilje Cajetina, Luciano and Ivanjica from municipalities that do not have a transfer station for receiving and dispatching. However, the effects of development in tourism destination cannot be easily visible and proven. Sometimes indicators of tourism development do not show its significant impact, but the structural changes are occurring and they affect land use. The aim of this paper is to employ methodology for as- sessing effects of development on land-use changes in tourism destination. Proposed methodology in- cludes combination of the use of publically available geographical data, geographical information sys- tems and landscape metrics. The applicability of this approach has been investigated in test region of Čajetina municipality (south-western part of the Republic of Serbia), where tourism industry has flour- ished in last decades. Time series of maps (2000 and 2006) have been obtained from CORINE land cov- er project. Landscape metrics for area, size and density have been calculated for the entire test region and for tourism destination at patch and class levels. The results showed significant effects of develop- ment on land use changes in investigated tourism area comparing to its surroundings. The assessment is still ongoing and more families are expected to be reported as affected. The assessment results will therefore define further distribution to the population. Some of the items planned to be purchased will also be used to replenish the National Society’s disaster preparedness stock. -

The total population in these five populated areas stands around 158,000, of which 69,000 live in the City of Užice. Approximately 60% of the population is connected to the sewerage network, with the largest number of connections in Užice – about 80. In the city of Užice, wastewater is discharged without appropriate treatment into local watercourses, mostly through several uncontrolled outlets. The situation is similar in Arilje, Požega, Kosjerić, and Ivanjica – the Zlatibor District has no regional wastewater treatment plant. The construction of an appropriate system for collecting, draining, and treating wastewater is essential on both the regional and local levels for each populated area. The overall objective of the project is to improve the municipal infrastructure for collecting, draining, and treating wastewater in these areas, by preparing documentation that would explore and propose optimal technical solutions for wastewater drainage and treatment at the regional level. -
