Student Legislative Coordinating Council (SLCC) Secretary Robert Needlman attended an English Department meeting on Oct. 28 to discuss possible alter natives to lowering grades for unexcused ·absences. English Teacher Harold Hoffenkamp offered to discuss alternatives with the Committee on Rules and Procedures, of which he is a member. SLCC is now working on ideas for changing the procedure to submit to the committee.
