6. Competition Rules The Wrestling competition of the 18th Asian Games will be held in accordance with the January 2018 editions of the United World Wrestling International Wrestling Rules and other relevant Regulations and competition Rules, in force during the Games time. The Rules are available at UWW’s official website http://unitedworldwrestling.org In case of any disagreement in the language interpretation of the rules and regulations, the English version shall prevail. Any unforeseen cases not covered by the regulations and rules shall be resolved as follows :  General issues : Resolved in accordance with the OCA Constitution and Rules  Technical issues : Resolved in accordance with UWW Rules and Regulations

7. Competition Format

7.1 COMPETITION PROCEDURE For all medal events, a direct elimination system will be used to produce two finalists who will compete for the gold medal. All wrestlers who lose against either of the finalists at any stage of the competition, up to and including the semi-finals, will contest a repêchage, which will take place after the semi- finals and before the gold medal bout. The winners of the two repêchage groups will each be awarded bronze , with the losers of these bronze medal bouts awarded an equal fifth place. Each weight category competition is organized in one day.

- If there are 6 or 7 athletes in one weight category, the competition starts with a pool phase with two groups.

7.3 DECISION OF RANKING Ranking of each category is as follows : (1) 1st and 2nd place from the finals (2) Two winners of the bronze medal repechage matches will receive 3rd place (3) Wrestlers lost against bronze medal matches will take 5th place (4) From the 7th place, wrestlers of each category will be ranked depending on their ranking points, retirement or forfeit, injury or disqualification. In case of a ranking tie, they will be ranked by analyzing the following criteria successively:

a. The most victories by ”Fall“ b. The most match won by superiority c. The most period won by superiority d. The most technical points scored in all the competition e. The fewest technical points given in all the competition (5) If the place of the wrestlers cannot be determined with the above mentioned criterion, they will be ranked ex aequo. - 1st place- 1, 2nd place- 1, 3rd place- 2, 5th place- 2, 7th place- 1, 8th place- 1, 9th place- 1, 10th place- 1

7.4 Medical control, weigh-in and draw The medical control and weigh-in will be held the morning of the concerned weight category.

The draw for all weight categories will organize in the day before the first competition (mandatory for each team leader or his substitute to attend the draw).

8. Sport Entries

8.1 Eligibility

 Only OCA member NOC’s are entitled to send athletes to participate in the Wrestling competition of the 18th Asian Games

 Only athletes who comply the OCA Constitution and Rules and its Bye-law are entitled to participate in the Wrestling Competition

8.2 Entry Timeline

 Entry by Sport - Deadline: 24:00 February 28, 2018 (Indonesia Time, GMT +7)  Entry by Number - Deadline: 24:00 April 30, 2018 (Indonesia Time, GMT +7)  Entry by Name - Deadline: 24:00 June 30, 2018 (Indonesia Time, GMT +7)

8.3. Entry Policies

 All athletes must be affiliated to or have a licence with UWW  Individual Events: Each NOC may enter a maximum of one (1) athlete in each event.  Total: Each NOC may enter a maximum of twelve (12 ) men and six ( 6 ) women class Wrestling from 18 class in wrestling. œ Age Limitation: Athletes for Wrestling must reach the minimum age of 18 (born on December 31, 2000 or before) œ NOCs that withdraw their athletes or teams after the submission of the final entries by name and Team Sport Draw will be faced with disciplinary action by the OCA EB.

9. Technical Officials Technical Officials and referees shall be appointed by UWW Asia and approved by UWW.

COORDINATION AND APPROVAL OF OCA. IN CASE OF VIOLATION OF THE IF/AF

RULES AND GAMES RULES AND REGULATIONS BY ANY PARTICIPANT, THE OCA HAS

THE RIGHT TO REVOKE THE AD CARD AND PROPOSE CHANGE OF THE PERSON TO THE

CONCERNED PARTY.

11. Challenge Procedure Challenge Procedure shall be lodged in accordance with the latest UWW rules, The challenge rules are stipulated in Article 32: The Challenge, under the same Rules. All appeals related to the technical sides will be the responsibilities of the International and Asia Federations. œ Any Athlete/NOC can appeal to CAS, in case he feels that there is violation of IF/AF Technical Rules or OCA Constitution which is not related to reversing the decision of the referee or result.

12. Equipment and Equipment used and clothing worn by athletes and other relevant participants in competition must comply with the rules and regulations of the OCA and UWW in force. Neither athletes nor technical officials can attach any form of commercial advertising to his or her competition uniform without agreement with OCA and INASGOC.

13. Doping Control and Medical Doping Control during the 18th Asian Games will be conducted in accordance with OCA Anti - Doping Rules applicable to the Asian Games and will follow the standards and procedures under the World Anti - Doping programme. INASGOC, in collaboration with the medical committee of the OCA will have in place the resources to assist in the investigation of any cases of disorders of sexual determination, should the need arise. The need for such tests and the processes to be followed will be as per the rules/procedures laid down by the OCA and we will to add Medical Services on field of Play

14. Medal Ceremonies First place will be awarded with a gold medal. Second place will be awarded with a medal. Two third places will be awarded with bronze medals. Fifteen minutes before the Victory Ceremony starts, the shall be escorted to the Waiting Area to get ready for the ceremony. Medalists must wear their official NOC tracksuit.

15. Media Interview All athletes should pass through the Mixed Zone. Athletes and/or coaches should attend press conferences and interviews when there are interview requests for them.

16. Sport Information Center (SIC) All sport-specific information for Wrestling will be available at the sport information desks. They are located at the competition venue and at the Sport Information Center (SIC) in the Athletes' Village.

17. Approval of the Technical Handbook The Technical Handbook for Wrestling has been approved by the technical delegates of United World Wrestling.
