COVID-19 V a c a y w i t h S a f e t y 2 0 2 1 Dear friends & guests, Welcome to one of the least places on earth (still) without any corona virus cases. Covid-19 cases are still rising in many parts of Greece, but Kasos, is a rare place in Dodecanese that one can safely say it's covid-free. (Note: This piece was written in late February 2021, during which the island of Kasos has no confirmed cases of the corona virus in any of its communities) Although the outbreak of Covid-19 didn’t touch Kasos, has brought an enormous impact on our holiday time too. The natural isolation of Kasos led to the containment of the virus, but now it create hurdles, since there are limited medical resources here. The health protocols and measures Kasos Tours has put in place to ensure the utmost care and safety of the inhabitants. With the vaccines on the horizon, Kasos Tours is committed to offer a safe ground for our guests to feel both secure and relaxed when traveling on the Greek island of Kasos in 2021. So, please do take a moment to read the below measures that are put in place in order to ensure a series of safe and relaxing experiences for you with more preparedness and optimism and with respect to our inland communities. COVID-19 SPESIFICATION Currently you can still travel to Greece. However, we advise you to review the following page periodically for any changes. There is a passenger locator form to fill in. From all origins, Greece currently requires a negative covid test in the 72 hours before entry. You also agree to take all the necessary precautions & measures before travelling to Greece (such as covid test, vaccination et al) according to the international travel guidelines. You acknowledge that it is your sole responsibility to review the following page and abide by the official general public health safety guidelines. If you don't agree to follow the official travel instructions announced on the following page, normal cancelation policy would apply, should you decide not to join an experience or tour with us. All info on the latest rules is here: https://travel.gov.gr/#/ HEALTH & SANITATION All our premises abide by the official health protocols announced by National Organization for Public Health (EODY) and the Ministry of Tourism which have been drafted according to the guidelines of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). Personnel will be in charge to monitor that all health and safety procedures are followed on a daily basis. TOURS & SAFETY The majority of our tours are spent outdoors & in nature and all our locations are spacious with big outdoor areas. Our tours are nevertheless limited to smaller groups to ensure enhanced experience and thus, you avoid overcrowded gatherings. We always strive to look for experiences that benefit both the guests and the local communities they will be visiting, while offering the warmth that you’ve been deprived of in the age of social distancing. We do NOT permit non registered guests/friends to enter our premises or participate for the duration of an event, in compliance with the Health Protocols. TRANSFERS AND CAR RENTAL All our partners follow the sanitation measures that are compulsory prior to a new guest entering a vehicle. In bus transport, please note that a use of face mask is Compulsory. HANDLING OF A COVID-19 CASE In the event of a suspected or a confirmed case, the guest will be handled according to the applicable laws and regulations, while ensuring that all health protocols and procedures are followed. Once the official regulations and protocols are released for the summer season 2021, we will update this document with the latest information. In the island of Kasos there is an appointed rural doctor and a few mobile Covid19 test units. You will need to call us so that we will safely guide you and assist you. The adjoining island of Karpathos and its Public Health Center has a better equipped Covid-19 section, so you will be more likely transferred there. MONITORING OF GUESTS AND STAFF Following the mandatory Health Protocols, Kasos Tours will have to keep record (Guest Book) of all names, address, and email as well as phone number of each of the guests. The reason is to enable tracing the contacts in case of a Covid19 verified case. This is compulsory as in case of any Covid-19 incident we will only share this information with appointed doctors or the relevant authorities so that they in turn take action into informing contacts so that any potential contamination is prevented. The above exempts from the GDPR rules (new EU GDPR Law 4624/2019). Therefore, we will email you, prior to your arrival, so that we can obtain this information electronically. We can notify our guests in case of the presence of a case of Covid-19 or any suspicious symptoms, however such notification will take place in a discrete way which will not directly or indirectly identify the guest or staff member to other guests or staff. FLEXIBLE CANCELLATION & PAYMENT POLICY As we understand the insecurity that travel planning still holds, we are offering a more flexible payment and cancellation policy to those who want to join Kasos Tours in 2021. New bookings made between March 2021 and May 30th 2021, are fully refundable until May 31th 2021 to offer flexibility on travel planning. More flexible payment plans can be offered on request. In case travel restrictions are applied to Greece or the guests’ country of residence at the time of an event, and a scheduled tour needs to be cancelled or the guest is restricted from joining an experience, the guest shall receive a voucher equal to the full amount paid and valid for 1 year.
