We have over 50 great walks in the programme, which take you to some wonderful enchanting locations on the Island. The walks are suitable for all ages and abilities, and we have some great new walks in the programme. Then it’s down to Amazon World for the No.8 bus back to Ryde. Meet at Shanklin Old Church car park for a walk across the Downs and back along the Coastal Path encountering some spectacular views of the Island. Few steps and stiles on this walk. The Isle of Wight Gardens Trust is offering an expert guided tour of the gardens and inner park to discover Brown’s only Isle of Wight designed landscape at Appuldurcombe, commissioned in the 18th century by the influential Worsley family. The Island is a perfect location for walking, with its 500 miles of well-maintained footpaths, and 60 miles of heritage coastline being located just a few miles from the mainland and only two and a half hours from central London, it makes the Island the ultimate destination for walking.
