One of the other things that drew me to YA initially was its inclusion of a more diverse character roster. A layout can be more than just telling the story in a series of pictures — it can be a whole, cohesive idea. Going beyond just square boxes on a comic page takes guts, skill, and most importantly: passion. Someone who is passionate about what they do will always go that extra mile to show that passion off, and seeing a really wacky and fun layout when you turn the page is the earmark of an artist who loves what they do and is also having Young Avengers Style>Substance: Style>Substance doing it, which makes you as a reader have fun looking at it. And if you read and like those then please track down Phonogramtoo. It Young Avengers Style>Substance: Style>Substance more love. Written by Hannah Collins. I Young Avengers Style>Substance: Style>Substance only got around to the two volumes of Phonogram last December, when YA was wrapping up. But yeah, I loved this series. It was so much fun. Time will tell if Bendis can sustain such high quality on two titles that are essentially the same -- for the time being the Avengers and New Avengers books are a smashing success, as is "The Heroic Age. Strange, strangely enough. This was a very enjoyable read. As a result, Doctor Strange subsequently regains his position of Sorcerer Supreme. Here, a couple of that book's cast White Tiger and Power Man join up with an assortment of other heroes from Squirrel Girl to Hawkeye for a series that's all about crazy science and weird extradimensional business from the get-go. Because most of the people who really love Joss Whedon really enjoy how his characters constantly quip. But as a first volume, this made me very happy indeed. The first two were written by Brian Michael Bendis and depicted a version of Marvel's premiere superhero team, the Avengers.
