SURVEY OF SOUTH CAROLINA LAW

April 1961 - March 1962

FOREWORD The articles appearing herein comprise the Ninth Annual Survey of South Carolina Law, covering the period from , 1961, through , 1962. All published opinions of the South Carolina Supreme Court during the indicated period are included, as are cases involving South Carolina law decided by the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. In addition, mention is made of major legislation enacted by the General Assembly in the 1962 session. As in the past, the Annual Survey is the product of a committee appointed by the President of the South Carolina Ba Association from the Association membership. The review of the cases and statutory developments in each of the several legal fields is the responsibility of the committee member or members assigned that field. The committee wishes to thank the staff members of the South Carolina Law Review for their conscientious and capable performance of the many chores incident to the edit- ing and publication of the Survey. DAVID H. MEANS, Chairman, Committee on Annual Survey of South Carolina Law
