I never liked falsehood. I never liked shabby, untidy and unclean surroundings. I liked flowers, dawn, the spring season and the small children. I would never lie nor liked people speaking a lie. The spotless white colour enthralled me. So did the religious songs and hymns sung in solo or chorus please me. I liked to go to temples shrines and sacred places. I liked to read songs and passages written in praise of God. The stories of Shri Krishna’s childhood as narrated in Shrimad Bhagawatam fascinated me. In later years I was attracted to the poetry of Surdas, Meera, Rasakhan and others who wrote about the childhood frolics of Krishna. I liked to sit in the company of elders when the subject of their conversation was spiritual. I liked to go near holy men and would get fascinated by the radiance of their forehead and dazzle of their gaze. I did not know then that the seeds of spirituality were sown in my mind and these were slowly getting sprouted. As I grew I took Sanskrit as a subject for studies and this introduced me to the Hindu

Yama belongs to an early stratum Yama of Indo-Iranian theology. In Vedic tradition Yama was Death considered to have been the first mortal who died and espied the way to the celestial abodes, thus in virtue of precedence he became the ruler of the departed. In some passages, however, he is already regarded as the god of death. Yama's name can be interpreted to mean "twin", and in some myths he is paired with a twin sister Yam ī. Yama is assisted by Chitragupta who is assigned with the task of keeping complete records of actions of human beings on the earth, and upon their death deciding to have them reincarnated as a superior or inferior organism, depending on their actions on the earth (Karma). Yama is also the lord of justice and is sometimes referred to Devanagari यम as Dharma, in reference to his unswerving dedication to maintaining order and adherence to harmony. Such devotional service causes the heart to become softenned by various tastes and it is called bhava. Notes: In the second wave of the Eastern division of Sri Bhaktirasamrta sindhu three divisions of bhakti have been described-(1) sadhana bhakti, (2) bhava bhakti and (3) prema bhakti. Sadhana bhakti is of two types-(1) vaidhi bhakti and (2) raganuga bhakti. Raganuga bhakti is also of two types-(1) kamanuga and (2) sambandhanuga. All of this has been thoroughly analyzed up to this point. Now in this third wave the explanation of Bhava bhakti begins. The symptoms of uttama bhakti are that it is favorable to Krsna's pleasure (anukulya) and it involves the culture of activities in relationship to Krsna (Krsna anushilana).
