GE service bulletin LM6000-IND-SB230 describes the known sensor tip breakages on the widely used LM6000 T4.8 thermocouple with product number 1962M86P02.
The OEM approved alternative T4.8 manufactured by Esterline / Weston Aerospace is available as product number 1696M81P13.
