On Australia Day 2017, hundreds of locals gathered at The Citizen of the Year Award (Youth) 2017 was presented the Main Lawn of the ’s Civic Centre to Amy Brades. Town of Mosman Park | AUTUMN 2017 | 11 KEN WALKER, 100 NOT OUT One of Mosman Park’s most loved residents, Ken Walker, celebrated his 100th birthday on 24 January 2017 at a celebration hosted by the Mosman Park Sub-Branch of the RSL. Present at the happy occasion were Ken’s children, grandchildren, great grand children and great-great grandchildren, and as always, Ken’s loving wife Dorothy was by his side. Marking this remarkable milestone, Ken received tributes and with six of his mates enlisted in World War Two, as and gifts from the RSL and from the Town of Mosman flight mechanics in the RAAF in 1941.
