La secretaria general perredista, Dolores Padierna, acusó a Rosario Robles Berlanga de ser la causante de la crisis económica que enfrenta el PRD y de haber vendido información a adversarios políticos para debilitar la fuerza de ese instituto político. En entrevista sostuvo que ocho años después de la gestión de Robles, el Partido de la Revolución Democrática (PRD) aún no logra reponerse del daño económico y político que le hizo. ’No creo que Rosario Robles pueda dormir tranquila ni después de muerta, porque el daño que le ha hecho a nuestro partido es monumental, todavía no se acaba lo financiero, menos lo político”, sostuvo la actual dirigente perredista. Como parte de esa afectación señaló la relación “perversa” que Robles Berlanga sostuvo con el empresario de origen argentino Carlos Ahumada, pues además de utilizar recursos del partido para hacer negocios con él, le dio todo el poder para estar presente hasta en las decisiones del Comité Ejecutivo Nacional. “Rosario tomó recursos del partido para hacer negocios con una persona sin escrúpulos, esa fue la relación fugaz de ese personaje en estas oficinas. Hemos visto fotografías en las que hasta estaba en reuniones del propio Comité Ejecutivo Nacional, entraba hasta la cocina y esto era por la relación personal y de negocios que tenía Rosario Robles con esa persona”, mencionó. Padierna Luna aseveró que Robles Berlanga no sólo pervirtió y corrompió al PRD, sino que ella como presidenta vendió información a los adversarios del partido del sol azteca como ’a Carlos Salinas de Gortari y a Diego Fernández de Cevallos’.

A MANERA DE PRESENTACIÓN En México la CDMX es un destino turístico importante, todos lo sabemos, pero a pesar de concentrar un gran universo de atractivos y de la posición de privilegio que ocupa por ser la capital administrativa del país, presenta un gran potencial para mejorar su desempeño frente a otros destinos, principalmente aquellos que cuentan con sol y playa para ofrecer a sus visitantes. Es necesario revalorar la actividad turística de la Ciudad y ponerla en la dimensión que le corresponde. Ya las autoridades centrales, encabezadas por el Jefe de Gobierno definieron el turismo como una actividad prioritaria de las políticas de gobierno, la Secretaría de Turismo formuló el Programa Sectorial dentro del Sistema de Planeación de la CDMX, que marca los objetivos específicos, metas y líneas de acción que nos orientan en esta actividad. Ahora corresponde a los demás actores desempeñar su papel, para que el turismo llegue a ser el detonante de la prosperidad y el bienestar que todos esperamos. Los efectos benéficos del turismo son conocidos, tanto para la economía de una sociedad como para la comunidad en su conjunto. Permite la obtención de ingresos, la creación de empleos y de empresas y, por medio del enfoque sustentable, contribuir particularmente a la creación de infraestructura que incide en el desarrollo socioeconómico, la conservación del medio ambiente y el mejoramiento y embellecimiento del entorno de la comunidad y de sus valores culturales. Para aprovechar plenamente estos efectos es necesario invertir en el mejoramiento de los espacios turísticos y en su expansión y diversificación.

In July 2000, voters elected President Vicente Fox Quesada of the Alliance for Change Coalition in historic elections that observers judged to be generally free and fair, and that ended the Institutional Revolutionary Party's (PRI) 71-year hold on the presidency. The peace process in Chiapas between the Zapatista National Liberation Army (EZLN) and the Government remained stalled. The EZLN has been silent since the passing of the Indigenous Rights and Culture law in August of 2001. There has been no dialogue between the EZLN and the Government since then because the EZLN refused to meet with the government’s representative, Luis H. Alvarez. Sporadic outbursts of politically motivated violence continued to occur throughout the country, particularly in the southern states of Chiapas, Guerrero, and Oaxaca. The judiciary is generally independent; however, on occasion, it was influenced by government authorities particularly at the state level. Corruption, inefficiency, impunity, disregard of the law, and lack of training are major problems. The police forces, which include federal and state judicial police, the Federal Preventive Police (PFP), municipal police, and various police auxiliary forces, have primary responsibility for law enforcement and maintenance of order within the country. However, the military played a large role in some law enforcement functions, primarily counternarcotics. There were approximately 5,300 active duty military personnel in the PFP as permitted by the 1972 Firearms and Explosives Law.

In the fight for the top spot in his party, Madero beat federal Deputy Roberto Gil, who presumably had President Felipe Calde­ rón’s total backing and support. That support was real, which is why last January 7, Gil once again came into the spotlight as Calderón’s new political operative in the presidential race. Gil is currently his new private secretary, with functions that go way beyond the scope of his job description.
