Icon: Trent Reznor Admits to, in the 90's: The Old Navy vest and Fisherman Hat combo, with a side of JNCO's. Personal anthem in the 90's: 69 Boyz: “Tootsie Roll” Keith appreciates Blue Moon and people. Especially people with Blue Moon... for him. Personal anthem in the 90's: The Entire “Weird Al Catalog” Ryan took classical singing lessons from an eccentric old cat lady in his 20's. He accredits much of his current level of talent to her. At least that is what he tells himself, and his wife, when the mess is brought up in conversation. Other Facts about the band: 1. 5 out of 5 members spent the 90's deeply steeped in video games. 2. The band is split 3 to 2 in favor of Friends over Seinfeld. A caveat: 2 out of 5 members were split between wanting to pick both, and not wanting to pick either. 3. The band's top 5, of each member's top 5 bands of all time are: Dredg, Foo Fighters, Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, and Pink Floyd 4. The combined IQ of the band is a three digit number. 5. There is actually a full head of hair under Kevin's hat. Umphrey’s McGee Brendan Bayliss: Guitar, vocals Jake Cinninger: Guitar, vocals Joel Cummins: Keyboard, piano, vocals Andy Farag: Percussion Kris Myers: Drums, vocals Ryan Stasik: Bass After 18-plus years of performing more than 100 concerts annually, releasing nine studio albums and selling more than 4.2 million tracks online, Umphrey’s McGee might be forgiven if they chose to rest on their laurels. But then that wouldn’t be consistent with the work ethic demonstrated by the band, which consistently attempts to raise the bar, setting and achieving new goals since forming on the Notre Dame campus in South Bend, Indiana, in 1997. After releasing their eighth studio album, Similar Skin, the first for their own indie label, Nothing Too Fancy (N2F) Music (distributed by RED), the group continued to push the envelope and test the limits. The London Session, was a dream come true for the members having been recorded at the legendary Studio Two at historic Abbey Road. The stealth recording session yielded 10 tracks in a single day, proving once again, the prolific UM waits for no one. As a follow up to The London Session, the envelope pushing continues with the November 11th release of ZONKEY. Umphrey’s McGee has been arranging and performing original mashups live for over eight years. It was only a matter of when, not if, some of those innovative concoctions would find their way into a studio. An album of 12 unique mashups, conceived and arranged by the band, ZONKEY is as seamless as it bizarre, playful as it is razor sharp.

  • Super Diamond BIO and Press
SUPER DIAMOND The Neil Diamond Experience "I've met them and I have been to their shows, they're wonderful!" Neil Diamond to Katie Couric on the Today Show, November 9, 2005 "Q. Super Diamond honors him..." "A. Who is Neil Diamond?" Question on Jeopardy, May 20th, 2005 San Francisco's Super Diamond has become one of the most popular live shows at major nightclubs, theaters, ballrooms and public events throughout the United States. For over a decade the band has consistently performed sell-out shows at venues such as Irving Plaza in New York, 930 Club in Washington D.C., Bimbo's in San Francisco, and House of Blues venues in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, Cleveland and Dallas to name but a few. At these venues Super Diamond has generated an exuberant audience response previously unheard of for a tribute band. Many would say that Super Diamond has transcended the label of "tribute band" by passionately immersing themselves in Neil Diamond's huge repertoire and delivering a high-octane show of unforgettable classics such as Cracklin’ Rosie, Sweet Caroline, Forever in Blue Jeans and many others. Super Diamond has also performed at landmark venues and events such as Hollywood Bowl, Taste of Chicago, Fenway Park in Boston, Coors Field in Denver and numerous fairs, festivals and corporate celebrations across the country and overseas. Super Diamond front man The Surreal Neil, Randy Cordeiro, astonishes audiences with his live interpretation of the "real Neil." Randy created the charismatic character when he discovered he had the uncanny ability to capture not only Neil Diamond's voice, but also his mannerisms and performance style.

  • Full Results of Survey of Songs
Existential Songs Full results Supplementary material for Mick Cooper’s Existential psychotherapy and counselling: Contributions to a pluralistic practice (Sage, 2015), Appendix. One of the great strengths of existential philosophy is that it stretches far beyond psychotherapy and counselling; into art, literature and many other forms of popular culture. This means that there are many – including films, novels and songs that convey the key messages of existentialism. These may be useful for trainees of existential therapy, and also as recommendations for clients to deepen an understanding of this way of seeing the world. In order to identify the most helpful resources, an online survey was conducted in the summer of 2014 to identify the key existential films, books and novels. Invites were sent out via email to existential training institutes and societies, and through social media. Participants were invited to nominate up to three of each art media that ‘most strongly communicate the core messages of existentialism’. In total, 119 people took part in the survey (i.e., gave one or more response). Approximately half were female (n = 57) and half were male (n = 56), with one of other gender. The average age was 47 years old (range 26–89). The participants were primarily distributed across the UK (n = 37), continental Europe (n = 34), North America (n = 24), Australia (n = 15) and Asia (n = 6). Around 90% of the respondents were either qualified therapists (n = 78) or in training (n = 26). Of these, around two-thirds (n = 69) considered themselves existential therapists, and one third (n = 32) did not. There were 235 nominations for the key existential song, with enormous variation across the different respondents.

  • Naperville Jaycees' Last Fling Offers National and Local Musical Acts On
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: June 7, 2019 Contact: Karen Coleman 630.362.6683 [email protected] Naperville Jaycees’ Last Fling Offers National and Local Musical Acts on Two Stages! Naperville, IL – The Naperville Jaycees is proud to announce their full musical lineup for the Main Stage and Jackson Avenue Block Party Stage for the 2019 Last Fling. The Last Fling takes place all along the Riverwalk in Downtown Naperville over all 4 days of Labor Day weekend. “This year’s event will feel a lot more like your typical music festival. We decided to open the Main Stage gates earlier than most previous years to give patrons an opportunity to enjoy music throughout the day and allow them to come and go as they please. I really feel as if we have a solid line up this year and I hope that the community will come out, have some fun and help raise some money with us at the 2019 Last Fling,” says Entertainment Co-Chair Danielle Tufano. 2019 Main Stage Acts: The Last Fling Main Stage will start rocking on Friday night (August 30) with headliner Better Than Ezra. Before their omnipresent 1995 single “Good” hit No. 1, before their debut album Deluxe went double-platinum, before popular shows such as Desperate Housewives licensed their song “Juicy,” before Taylor Swift attested to their timeless appeal by covering their track “Breathless” — New Orleans’ Better Than Ezra was a pop-rock act paying its dues, traveling from town to town in a ramshackle van. Over two decades after the band formed, that vigilance still resonates strongly with the trio, who were finally rewarded after seven years of stubbornly chasing their dreams.
