Black Mustard Shepherd’s-purse Mode of Action

Simplicity CA is an acetolactate synthase (ALS) inhibitor. The active ingredient is pyroxsulam. The Herbicide Resistance Action Committee (HRAC) has classified Simplicity CA as a Group 2 herbicide.

Simplicity CA is a systemic herbicide absorbed by foliage (primarily) and roots of plants, and is translocated through both phloem and xylem to plant meristematic regions.

Susceptible plants stop growing almost immediately. Symptoms include stunting and discoloration/chlorosis. Complete weed death occurs within two to three weeks under ideal conditions. Actively-growing weeds are killed the fastest. Simplicity CA does not provide residual activity.

Excellent Crop Safety

The active ingredient in Simplicity CA has been used on hundreds of thousands of wheat acres throughout the and has shown excellent crop tolerance. Field trials in California and on a variety of soil types have also shown no adverse effects on wheat.
