The Star website also said the "humanitarian mission" of the Philippine ship raised hopes the standoff may be over by Thursday. The Star reported the Filipinos have run out of food supplies supposedly because of a blockade "enforced on land and sea." The said Pinoys are followers of Sultan Jamalul Kiram III who are reclaiming the area as their ancestral territory.
