This exclusive concept offers investors the possi- bility of “testing the waters” in Phuket, with the option to sell back the property should they so desire. This model is the ideal vehicle for new investors hoping to better under- stand the Phuket property market with very low risk. It enables them to receive a great ROI thanks to its enviable beachfront loca- tion. Healing crystals have been a wellness trend for quite some time now, with a cult following of people who swear by their therapeutic properties. While some choose to harness the rocks’ energy in the form of pyramid-shaped decor or jewelry, one innovative company has delved into previously un- trekked territory: the crystal dildo market. Yes, you read that correctly.

Chakrubs dubs itself as “the original crys- tal sex toy company,” with all of its products being made from 100 percent pure crystal. Chakrubs derives its name from Chakra, the Sanskrit word that describes energy wheels. The company produces handmade dildos made from precious minerals like rose quartz and pure amethyst, which each provide their own respective healing properties.

What prompted you to set up The Pineapple Furniture Company?

We established MSquared Interior Design in 2012. As that business has grown and the numbers of design projects have increased, I found it challenging to find quality furniture that fitted with our interior design concepts, at reasonable prices.

At the same time, more and more clients of the interior design business were asking if we could custom design furniture pieces on an ad-hoc basis for specific projects.

It seemed to make sense that we should design our own furniture ranges, creating pieces that we felt would align with our core design approach. This, I felt, would also create a platform from which we’d be able to more effectively come up with bespoke designs and have these manufactured to the same high standards as our core ranges.

So The Pineapple Furniture Company, ‘sister’ business to the interior architecture and design business, was born out of a need that we’d identified in the market and for the projects that we were already working on.

How would you describe The Pineapple Furniture Company, what makes you different?

We are Phuket based and we aim to bring the long-standing tradition of Thai craftsmanship into the modern age.

We believe that great furniture should be a harmonious mix of great design and superb function, a marriage of contemporary beauty and lasting build quality.

Our vision is to create furniture pieces that are both stunning to look at, and practical to use. Pieces that add style and character to any space, whether at home, or in a hotel room. 118 119 120
