WAY ASSAUTO ha sempre realizzato particolari meccanici tranne che durante le due guerre mondiali dove la produzione fu convertita per esigenze belliche. La svolta in termini tecnologici e di produttività avviene nel 1968 con la progettazione e costruzione dei primi ammortizzatori “Mc Pherson” per la FIAT. Negli anni successivi la WAY ASSAUTO ha cambiato gestione e nel 2000, con la fusione tra la Arvin e la Meritor, diventa “ArvinMeritor Suspension System Italia”. Nel 2006 la Astigiana Ammortizzatori acquisisce lo stabilimento di Asti e riprende la denominazione originale di WAY ASSAUTO. Nel 2011 WAY ASSAUTO viene acquistata dalla Cijan Group consentendo investimenti in termini di risorse umane, tecnologie, produttività e maggiore attenzione al cliente: HISTORY elementi che fanno parte della nostra mission e vision aziendale. WAY ASSAUTO is an historic Italian company: founded in Turin in 1906 and moved to Asti in 1908, began to produce components for the mechanical and automotive industries. WAY ASSAUTO always produced mechanical fittings, but during the two World Wars they had to convert the production for military supplies. The breakthrough in technology and productivity terms occurred in 1968 thanks to the design and production of the first “Mc Pherson” shock absorber for Fiat Automobiles. During the following years WAY ASSAUTO changed its managements and in 2000, with the merger between Arvin and Meritor, it became “ArvinMeritor Suspension System Italia”. In 2006 the “Astigiana Ammortizzatori” buys the Asti plant and restores the name WAY ASSAUTO. In 2011 Cijan Group buys WAY ASSAUTO allowing investments in terms of human resources, technologies, productivity and customer focus.
