Interior of the Grandmother's cottage. 3 © Dramatic Publishing Company Little Red Riding Hood (Chorpenning) SCRIPT.indd 3 8/25/2011 8:21:07 PM The Wolf Costume This costu me can be of a union suit, dyed to the right color, and covered with small pieces of ravelled hemp rope or yarn, doubled and sewed on in th e middle. They can be made thicker and longer in spots to help shape the body. When the costume is finished, it can be trimmed as the actor wears it, to finish the shaping. A simpler costume can be made of rough napped canton flannel, or other goods, cut teddy­ bear fashion, and painted with dye or scene then stippled to give the effect of depth of fur. Such a costu me should be padded in some places, according to the build of the actor to wear The tail should be fastened to a harness, worn inside the costume, and brought through a slit which is covered by a flap snapped over it. The harness goes over shoulders, down the and around the legs. Pieces of elastic, set in, give the tail relation to the movements of the actor, which is very effective. The tail is made of ravelled rope, sewed to a central strip of cloth, with a piece of light wire to prevent too great flabbiness. At the Goodman Theatre, where the play was given in a "picture book" setting, these were cutouts on gauze, with necessary openings for exits and entrances. They may be anywhere from such sug­ gestive affairs to three-dimension tree trunks with a leaf border, the rest of the setting being in the same key. For example, at the Goodman The­ atre the cave was merely several flat painted pieces, with levels between. The Grandmother's house had walls whose edges made an interesting design, with a border along it. There was no sensation of anything below me but more water. I struggled as my head went under again, flailing back to the surface. Water still stung my eyes, sheeted down my brow. Rain. Cold rain. Not cold enough for snow, or even sleet. Cold enough, though, that I dared not wipe my eyes clear, or risk another dip into the near- freezing water.

It is the term from Greek which means pointing by language. This study aims at finding the types of Deixis used in John Legend’s selected songs’ lyrics and finding the types of Deixis most dominantly used in John Legend’s selected songs’ lyrics. This study was applied by using descriptive qualitative design. Having analyzed the data, the findings of this study are: (a)There are three kinds of deixis found in John Legend’s songs, they are person deixis, time deixis and place deixis; (b) Person deixis is the most dominantly used in John Legend’s songs; 86.86%. The writer suggests that the students should learn Deixis as clear as possible because it is the most fundamental thing that should be mastered and the teacher or instructor of English language can teach the students about Deixis by using many written forms, such as songs’ lyrics, poems, novels, drama’s scripts and others.
