The concept album "Angels of the Apocalypse" reports on four angels, which reflect the four elements and which are able to travel through time. Furthermore it's about the induction of the Judgment Day. Mister Tolkki got several well-known guest stars on the micro for this epic tale, what surely gains him a few points. Therefore one gets to listen to the powerfull voice of Virgin Steele's Shouter David DeFeis, as well as to the voices of Floor Jansen (current voice of Nightwish), Simone Simons (Epica), Fabio Lione (Rhapsody of Fire), Zachary Stevens (Savatage) and the slightly less known Ladies Elize Ryd (Amaranth) and Caterine Nix, who works currently at her debut album, which is produced by Tolkki as well. Regarding the vocals there's therefore surely nothing to nag about and many facets are served. Musically, drummer Tuomo Lassila is in first place of the availability. He played from 1987 til 1995 personally alongside of Tolkki and he was currently on the road with the band Conquest. The chemistry is right there, what can be felt and heard due to the new songs. Keyboardist Antti Ikonen was equally long in Stratovarius working with Tolkki and on the new work he also does his job masterly great. After the completely chanted solo and somehow goosebumps causing intro, it directly starts off with "Jerusalem is Falling".

Brown, Advisor Between 1984 and 1991, heavy metal became one of the most publicly popular and commercially successful rock music subgenres. The focus of this dissertation is to explore the following research questions: How did the subculture of heavy metal music between 1984 and 1991 evolve and what meanings can be derived from this ongoing process? How did the contextual circumstances surrounding heavy metal music during this period impact the performative choices exhibited by artists, and from a position of retrospection, what lasting significance does this particular era of heavy metal merit today? A textual analysis of metal- related materials fostered the development of themes relating to the selective choices made and performances enacted by metal artists. These themes were then considered in terms of gender, sexuality, race, and age constructions as well as the ongoing negotiations of the metal artist within multiple performative realms. Occurring at the juncture of art and commerce, heavy metal music is a purposeful construction. Metal musicians made performative choices for serving particular aims, be it fame, wealth, or art. These same individuals worked within a greater system of influence. Metal bands were the contracted employees of record labels whose own corporate aims needed to be recognized.

M.S: Hi, thank you for answering our questions. How are you? Jake: Thank you! All fine here. Right now we're in the tour bus towards Finland. Gonna do our first four headline shows there this week which I'm really looking forward to. M.S: What are your impressions about the Spanish audience after your concerts in here with Hammerfall? How was the tour? Jake: It's always a pleasure to come back to Spain. The crowd is energetic and you always feel welcome. The tour in general was fantastic. We met some troubles along the way, like a broken bus which forced us to cancel one show in Buckarest and some other minor setbacks, but besides that we had a blast and we had a great time with all of the bands on the tour. M.S: Can you tell us more about why Andy wasn't able to make it for some part of the European Tour? Jake: He just had to go home to take care of some personal business. Nothing stranger than that. We called in Richard from The Unguided and he did a tremendous job!! M.S: One could say that with everything you've achieved, you confirm your status as a big band... festivals, big tours, tons of views of your vids on youtube, and all these done with a style different from the one of your previous bands, can you tell us how do you see this "Amaranthe's revolution"? The information was collected from theme interviews from the members of Amaranthe, Epica and Sonata Arctica and this thesis was written based on their answers using qualitative research. Based on the interviews we can say that each musician has taken some influences from their role models. The influences they take from other musicians’ songs are mostly the stylish or atmospherical influence. For all musicians, the common source of inspiration was books and movies. The role models affected these people in different ways, but what was common was that they have learned from them with consideration, following only the good practices. In this thesis I compared my own composing process to my role models’ composing processes. There was a lot in common, it turned out, that the most of these composers compose alone. The most important tips for aspiring composers were to “follow your heart”, “let the music choose you” and “never give up”. Evolution requires visionaries. One of the biggest bangs of the modern metal universe happened in the fall of 2008. It was the Finland-based label Spinefarm Records that took the proverbial cake. In April 2011 the band released their eponymous debut album to worldwide acclaim, charting high in Sweden and Finland. Right off the bat tapping the vein of the digital music revolution, AMARANTHE was the 84th most played album on Spotify in the whole world, all genres included. After 92 live shows in support of the eponymous debut, AMARANTHE returned to their creative home, Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark where the magic of the debut album was originally bottled. With THE NEXUS album, released in March 2013, and its life cycle everything went up another notch: the album featured more of melodic / edgier metal, and even more brazenly techno-influenced hard rock. The release was followed by a longer tour, more and higher chart entries including a #12 position on the US Billboard Heatseekers chart. The band’s career was now officially on an ever-upward trajectory. Wasting no time, the band returned to Ribe to concoct another potion of power.
