We’re delighted you are with us celebrating another major milestone of our holiday extravaganza. It’s hard to believe Yuletide turns 30 this year! I’ll never forget my first year conducting Yuletide in 1994. At the time, I was still living in New York, leading the American Ballet Theatre as its Music Director. After conducting the month-long Yuletide Celebration, I thought, “well, that was a unique experience…sort of Radio City Music Hall meets Ed Sullivan meets Holiday on Ice (minus the ice!). ”But, I was hooked. No other orchestra was attempting to create a holiday experience like this, and I knew I just had to be a part of it. Best of all, leading Yuletide meant I could come home to Indiana for the holidays. Fast forward to today, I’m so proud to be working with and being inspired by an amazing orchestra, talented cast and an incredibly hard-working crew. When the curtain goes up for every performance, seeing a sea of wide-eyed children and smiling patrons is such a thrill for me. This year’s production features one of your favorite hosts, Sandi Patty, who has sung her way into our record books with seven Yuletides under her sequined and bejeweled belt! She’s joined this season by the dynamic duo, quick-change artistry of David and Dania, who are new to Yuletide! And, as always, the outstanding musicianship is on display with our Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. On a personal note, I want to thank all of my Yuletide family members, many of whom you don’t see on stage but are paramount in making Yuletide a success: our pops team, cast, stage crew, costume designers, choreographers and our creative and production teams. I would also like to thank our title sponsor, Indianapolis Power & Light, ISO board members, staff, volunteers, patrons and our generous donors for continuing to sustain our effort and creativity. Yuletide can celebrate 30 years and many more because of your support! Warmest wishes for a memorable season, and thank you for making the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra a part of your holidays. 5 Experience classical music in HD FM HD1 wicronline.org INDIANAPOLIS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA ACCESS To ISO Patrons Complimentary use of the Wood Room CORPORATE Complimentary tickets and VIP Parking passes SPONSORSHIPS PROMOTION Logo on lobby signage Company name and logo in Program Book Name recognition from the stage On-site Sampling and Display tables COMMUNITY Provide employees with volunteer opportunities Associate your brand with an Indianapolis cultural gem FOR MORE INFORMATION, CONTACT: Tanya Sovinski, Director of Development 317.262.1880 | [email protected] 6 MUSICIANS OF THE INDIANAPOLIS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA Krzysztof Urbański, Music Director Jack Everly, Principal Pops Conductor Raymond Leppard, Conductor Laureate Vince Lee, Associate Conductor First Violin Sé-Doo Park Jerry Montgomery Zachary De Pue, Concertmaster Jian-Wen Tong The Bakken Family Chair The Ford-West Chair Jill Boaz Alexander Kerr, Principal Guest Contrabass Concertmaster Ju-Fang Liu, Principal Trumpet Philip Palermo, Associate Robert Goodlett II, Assistant The W. With its origins dating back to the late 1960s, CCM resembles musical styles of popular-secular culture while retaining fundamental Christian values in lyrical content. This historical perspective of CCM marketing strategies, CCM music television, CCM and secular music, arts worlds within CCM, and the science of storytelling in CCM aims to provide readers with the context and understanding of the significant role that CCM plays in modern-day evangelism.

  • A Year with the Producers
Whats it like to work in the biggest hit Broadway has seen in years? In this delightful book based on his almost daily notes, Jeffry Denman tells the story of a year in one performers life, from his job in the final days of Cats (now and forever, but finally closed) to a small but promising part in the Mel Brooks smash. Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick, Mel Brooks and Anne Bancroft, Susan Stroman, Gary Beach, and Roger Bart are all here in Jeffry Denmans story. We follow The Producers — from its first casting call to the Chicago tryouts, we watch as numbers are cut and roles reassigned; we are there at the record-breaking New York opening, and then at the Tony awards (where the show won in more categories than any show in Tony history). What makes this book special is that we watch through Jeffry Denmans eyes — not from the stars perspective but the view from the chorus. Denman takes on several small roles in the show: the Blind Violinist; the Little Wooden Boy; FDR; a little old lady dancing with a walker; and Scott, the choreographer. We get to see director Susan Stroman coaching and Mel Brooks laughing (or not) at Denmans comic turns. What works? What doesn’t? How does all that energy and talent translate into the show you still can’t get tickets for? A Year with The Producers takes us up to Jeffry Denman’s big break, when he goes on for Matthew Broderick in the role of Leo Bloom, the nerdy accountant who dreams of being a producer.
