elcome to the Spring 2012 edition of The Eagle, our 12th issue, which covers another W extremely busy period for the AH Force at 12 Wattisham, including training, operations and numerous other activities. As you will see from Col Neale Moss’ foreword, he has provided a resumé of his two years as Station Commander, during which time so much has been achieved by the whole team, albeit he did not mention his sterling fundraising efforts for the Afghan Appeal Fund, which included his epic cycle ride and a charity concert. It is therefore with sadness that after some 37 years of military service that our second resident Station Commander has retired to pursue other challenges in the private sector. During his time at Wattisham, he has not only achieved a great deal to transform the Station, its facilities and 42 military capability, but by his unstinting support to the military and civilian communities alike. I am sure that you will join me in wishing Colonel Neale and Caron the very best of fortune. In his place we warmly welcome Colonel 06 I Foreword 18 I 7 Air Assault Battalion REME 36 I Welfare Matters Andy Cash who by the time this edition of The Eagle hits the streets will be firmly in command - read more in the Introduction by Colonel Neale Moss OBE, News and updates from 7 Air Assault News and updates from the various Unit next issue.
