By Kathie Nenninger Campaign Activities Chair Many are struggling with being housebound and could use their time off to make calls and ensure we Keep Texas Red in No- vember. Some of you are familiar with 10K for 10R; the Volunteer Engagement Project to register unregistered Republican leaning voters. Strike Force is assisting in this as well as recruiting volunteers to block walk, man phone banks etc. in the push leading up to the November election. With the current situation regarding Covid 19 it is not feasible, practical or safe to meet with groups in person to pass out the 10K for 10R cards to sign up volunteers. So, we are pivoting to a digital application called Red Dialer. Red Dialer is a smart phone app that allows you to easily "phone bank" from your home. VEP training sessions will be accessible via your mobile phone or laptop. Sign up now to help us keep Texas red! After you RSVP, you will receive details explaining how to attend the online training. We look forward to working with you to keep Texas red! If you are interested, please let me know at [email protected]. I will be working with Joni Mathews TFRW Victory 2020 Strike Force Regional Director for Houston. I hope that you will join in. The work presses on as we prepare for the November Election. This month’s top volunteer is Loretta Roberts with the most hours. What a role model for all of us! Thank you for all that you do. Save the following dates; • The Primary runoff has been rescheduled for July 14th with early voting to begin July 6th. Yes, Republicans have a runoff for Justice 1st Court of Appeals District, Place 5. • Our Republican Party of Texas State Convention, to be held right here in Houston, has been rescheduled for July 16-18. • Our Senate District 11 Convention is targeted for June 13th or June 20th with more information to follow. Do consider becoming a Delegate/Alternate to the State Convention this important year. Please message H Scott Apley or text/call him at 936-714-5873 if you would like to be a Delegate/Alternate or volunteer to help with the Senate District Conven- tion. Election workers are always needed. This is certainly an eye-opening way to see the inner workings of an election. You will be trained and even get paid. Please contact Kathy Rogers at [email protected] for more information. Workers will be needed for the runoff and the November General Election.
