The Family Offering is the only source of income for the running of the parish. Our parish expenses include Insur- ance, staff costs (secretarial & music), light, heat, cleaning, general maintenance of the Church, the Grounds, Pastoral centre, Pipe organ, Parish Office and parochial house. Later in the month we will publish our parish accounts for 2016. I would like to thank all who have contributed to our Fundraising towards the restoraon of the Organ and the furnishing of our new Pastoral Centre. The Organ restoraon cost was €141,000 and so far through ‘Adopng-a-Pipe’, 56 parishioners have contributed €36,450. The furnishing and equipping of the Pastoral Centre will cost approx. €16,500 and we have raised €8140. The Pastoral Centre Management Commiee will begin to order some furniture and items for the coffee dock area. As a parish we have been fortunate to be able to fund 90% of the cost of the restoraon of the church, the building of the parish office and pastoral centre. I realise there are many financial demands that o en increase at this me of year. Any contribuon over the next weeks and months will be gratefully received. Perhaps you can make a once off donaon to the enre project that could help with the cost and enable us to finish a few items. The restoraon of the church has for me high- lighted how our church is a place of prayer ‘at the heart of Dundrum.’ I find it upli ing to see the number of people who call into the church during the day to pray, maybe light a candle and to hear the comments of those who may look around. I thank you for your support to our parish, Fr. John SPREAD THE WORD: A Thriving, Vibrant Community Matters – Support Our Advertisers!
