PDF-035-1 2 Dearneways Ltd. 1949 - 1981 Dearneways was established in Goldthorpe as late as 1949 when Percy and Maurice Phillipson (father and son) purchased a 1938 Albion Victor to pursue private hire work. In the early part of the next decade the Company secured contract work (including services for the National Coal Board, which was a prominent employer in the area), which resulted in the fleet expanding. In 1956 a tours and excursions licence was granted and several more vehicles were purchased. Dearneways used an attractive blue and cream livery from the start and fleet numbers were introduced around 1954, although not always in sequence. The local firm of Harold Oscroft, who traded as Irene Motors, was taken over in 1960. Two vehicles were included in the deal, neither of which operated for Dearneways. -

The name of the relevant bus operating company may be shown on your ticket or on the applicable bus timetable for your journey. It will assist in handling your suggestion or complaint if you can identify the relevant bus operating company when making any complaint. Each of our UK Bus regions is supported by a dedicated Customer Services team responsible for handling suggestions and complaints efficiently and effectively. -

2021 Book News Welcome to our 2021 Book News. As we come towards the end of a very strange year we hope that you’ve managed to get this far relatively unscathed. It’s been a very challenging time for us all and we’re just relieved that, so far, we’re mostly all in one piece. While we were closed over lockdown, Mark took on the challenge of digitalising some of Venture’s back catalogue producing over 20 downloadable books of some of our most popular titles. Thanks to the kind donations of our customers we managed to raise over £3000 for The Christie which was then matched pound for pound by a very good friend taking the total to almost £7000. There is still time to donate and download these books, just click on the downloads page on our website for the full list. We’re still operating with reduced numbers in the building at any one time. We’ve re-organised our schedules for packers and office staff to enable us to get orders out as fast as we can, but we’re also relying on carriers and suppliers. Many of the publishers whose titles we stock are small societies or one-man operations so please be aware of the longer lead times when placing orders for Christmas presents. The last posting dates for Christmas are listed on page 63 along with all the updates in light of the current Covid situation and also the impending Brexit deadline. In particular, please note the change to our order and payment processing which was introduced on 1st July 2020. -

NUMBER: Working Paper ITLS-WP-19-05 TITLE: Collaboration as a service (CaaS) to fully integrate public transportation – lessons from long distance travel to reimagine Mobility as a Service Integrated mobility aims to improve multimodal integration to ABSTRACT: make public transport an attractive alternative to private transport. This paper critically reviews extant literature and current public transport governance frameworks of both macro and micro transport operators. Our aim is to extent the concept of Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS), a proposed coordination mechanism for public transport that in our view is yet to prove its commercial viability and general acceptance. Drawing from the airline experience, we propose that smart ticketing systems, providing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) can be extended with governance and operational processes that enhance their ability to facilitate Collaboration-as-a-Service (CaaS) to offer a reimagined MaaS 2.0 = CaaS + SaaS. Rather than using the traditional MaaS broker, CaaS incorporates operators more fully and utilises their commercial self-interest to deliver commercially viable and attractive integrated public transport solutions to consumers. This would also facilitate more collaboration of private sector operators into public transport with potentially new opportunities for taxi/rideshare/bikeshare operators and cross geographical transport providers (i.e. -

Sheffield Christmas & New Year 2016/2017 Bus, Tram & Train Services Merry Christmas and a happy New Year 9611 Introduction This guide contains information on bus, tram and train services operating over the festive period. It’s great news again! On Boxing Day and New Year’s Day special bus services funded by Sheffield City Council will run in Sheffield. These services will be operated by First, Stagecoach and TM Travel on Boxing Day and by First on New Year’s Day, and will be low floor, Easy Access buses. Normal fares, concessions and any relevant restrictions apply on both days. Supertram services will also operate on both days. Rail services will not run on Boxing Day but will run on New Year’s Day. Normal fares will apply in both cases. Travel passes, TravelMasters and season tickets will also be accepted. Normal child fares will apply. Traveline and disruptions information Please note the Traveline service will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. During this period no live updates will be issued through Twitter or the disruptions page on the Travel South Yorkshire website.
