Both classes will go to the Zoo next Friday 30th November. Hi Everyone, House results at the end of Week 6 This is my third term now with Fairfield Primary as Chaplain. It is hard to believe the year is almost at an end. Most weeks, on a Wednesday, I arrive during the lunch break and then spend the afternoon helping out where I can with one of the classes. I am delighted that the kids mostly now remember who I am and greet me as Whaea Claire. I confess I mostly have to be reminded of children’s names but I am really enjoying my time around the school. As Chaplain, my hope is to be helpful, my aim is to get to know folk: the children; teachers; support staff; parents; other caregivers. Basically, I am a safe person to talk to and enjoy discovering something about you. The stuff spoken about ‘may’ be ‘tipping you over currently’ - that is OK. It is up to you ‘what’ you share with me and it is up to me to hold that safely, in confidence. There are some good resources available in the community and part of my role is to help connect folk to these when appropriate. By in large though, most of my conversations are just about getting to know the folk of Fairfield Primary. I am loving the warm supportive environment that is already here. Because my time at school is so small, I am very happy to be contacted outside Tane Tangaroa Ruaumoko Tawhirimatea of my visits – 027 66 357 44. I may not always be immediately available but will respond to texts or voice messages left when able and welcome the contact. Kind regards If you would like to catch up over a coffee, let’s find a time, mostly likely evenings or weekend afternoons and I continue to be available during school holidays too. Warm Regards Claire Jones - Chaplain Anne Johnson PRINCIPAL Proudly supporting our local School Local childcare with a difference FAIRFIELD First Steps Donny is known for its Child care and education from birth to 5 year olds PRIMARY SCHOOL home-like environment.

  • Te Awa Lakes: Housing Economics
5 April 2018 Attn: Paul Radich Development Planner, Te Awa Lakes Development Perry Group Via email: [email protected] CC: [email protected] Te Awa Lakes: Housing Economics Dear Paul, This letter aims to provide ongoing assessment in relation to demand for Qualifying Developments, and also comments on local demand for residential housing in the proposed Te Awa Lakes Special Housing Area. Updating RCG’s Housing Commentary We summarise the key points from RCG’s Assessment of Economic Effects report for Te Awa Lakes below. 1 We have updated these points with more recent data where available: • Net migration into New Zealand remains at near-record levels of around 70,000 a year. • Auckland is still not keeping pace with its own housing shortage, i.e. ‘supply’ of new homes is not matching ‘demand’ from population growth. • Auckland is likely to keep losing people to neighbouring regions such as the Waikato, especially when there is housing pressure (as is currently the case). • Auckland’s house price boom began in 2012 and spread to Hamilton by 2015. In both cities, and most other parts of New Zealand, prices have flattened out in 2017-18. • The average house value in Hamilton is now $548,000, compared with $363,000 four years ago. 2 • Building consents in Hamilton, Waikato and Waipa remain at near-record levels, but have plateaued. 1 http://www.hamilton.govt.nz/our-council/council- publications/districtplans/ODP/Documents/Te%20Awa%20Lakes%20Private%20Plan%20Chan ge/Appendix_6_Assessment_of_Economic_Effects.PDF 2 Data from https://www.qv.co.nz/property-trends/residential-house-values , for Feb 2018 compared with Feb 2014 RCG | CONSTRUCTIVE THINKING.
