About the Legends of Dance Workshop

Presented by Studio T Arts, The inaugural 2021 Legends of Dance Workshop welcomes Sacramento community members of all ages (open to the public) for a complimentary dance workshop honoring Legendary Dance Icon Popin’ Pete and celebrating the launch of his new digital training platform and official website PopinPete.com. The exhilarating outdoor workshop will culminate in a high-energy Freestyle Circle.

Studio T Arts embarks on a mission to protect and support legends of dance history. Celebrating the official launch of PopinPete.com and his ‘Dance With Legend Popin Pete’ Patreon course membership, Studio T Arts brings dance lovers up close and personal with the dance icon.

About Studio T Arts & Entertainment

Founded in 2005, Studio T Arts & Entertainment provides social services through arts to aid youth and their families in developing and growing in confidence, community leadership, and a desire to thrive beyond their perceived limitations. Originally established as an training facility specializing in and urban dance instruction, Studio T Arts has expanded to teach provide resources to families and valuable job skills to students in photography, videography, brand development, social media marketing, productions for TV shows, deejaying, graphic design, website development, and so much more. In 2021, the facility was renovated to include the Studio T Arts Production Studio, featuring four main rooms to offer photography, videography, podcasting, and record live sessions. The new studio also boasts a training room to teach students, proteges, and interns how to not only capture and edit video, but also website development, graphic design, branding, and social media marketing.

Studio T's graduates have traveled the globe working with artists like: Justin Beiber, JLO, Jabbawokeez, , Brittany Spears, Usher, Selena Gomez, , , Ellen, Beyonce and many others. In addition to being featured in movies, music videos, commercials, and on television, Studio T alumni have won international and regional Hip Hop dance titles, and were voted "Best of Sacramento". Through Founder and Creative Director, Tamaira “Miss Tee” Sandifer's work with the juvenile Youth Detention Facility, Studio T was honored with a 'Volunteer of the Year' Award in 2015.

Studio T Urban Dance Academy Founder and President Tamaira “Miss Tee” Sandifer has spent more than 30 years immersed in the world of dance. She has dedicated her life to being a champion for the development of every child, so they can build confidence, character & a conquering spirit that believes anything is possible. Sandifer serves over 5,000 youth in school districts throughout Northern California and virtually across the globe every year through educational partnerships & enrichment programs related to physical as well as mental & emotional health. As the creator of California’s “National Day of Dance,” the “SacTown Showdown” District Dance Competition, her non-profit R.E.A.C.H. (Recreation Education Arts Career Health) Academy and several other programs, Sandifer’s mission is to instill real life skills, hope & a sense of belonging to her students.

About Popin’ Pete

Legendary Popin' Pete is a dancer and choreographer who has worked with a mega-star list of talent such as , Janet Jackson, Chris brown, Justin, Timberlake, Gwen Stefani, Mya, and The Black Eyed Peas to name a few. Pete was a regular on the worldwide hit show Soul Train, appeared in movies like the 1984 classic movie Breakin' and is a second-generation member of the famous Electric Boogaloos, joining the group in 1978. Popin’ Pete is, without question, one of the forefathers of mainstream hip hop dance culture. As the guest of honor at Studio T Urban Dance Academy’s ‘Legends of Dance’ workshop, Pete will celebrate the official launch of his website and Patreon membership academy.

About Sarah “Lil’ Mini” Phoenix

Sarah “Lil’ Mini” Phoenix is a young choreography and dance prodigy, the 2015 World Hip Hop Dance Champion and a Chap Kidz dancer. Lil’ Mini was featured as a special guest on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and prominently in music icon ’s video, “WTF feat. Pharell Williams.”

About TSU Terry

Terry “TSU Terry” Wedington is a dancer, choreographer and proud inductee of The Bmore Than Dance Hall of Fame. He is also Founder and Captain of the 2x Champion ‘We Run This City Group Competition’ TSU Dance Crew. Getting his start in dance at the age of 14, the artform helped Terry stay out of trouble and off the streets. Inspired by The Late Great Club Queen Dj -Kswift’s work ethic, Terry became committed to continuing The Club legacy through Dance. Since, he has made two appearances at the legendary Apollo Theater, opened up for artists like Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Durk , , Azalea Banks and Kali Uchis to name a few. He has toured the world with TT the Artist & Rye Rye, and was featured in the music video for Lil Duval’s viral single“Smile.”

Studio T Dance Captain and DJ, Miss Hannah Feuerwerker discovered her passion and talent for dance when, at the age of 12 she began training at Studio T Urban Dance Academy. By the time she was 16, she was not only teaching herself, but she had bloomed into a confident young woman with a strong work ethic and a drive to do more. Eight years later, she is now a graduate of Sacramento State, owns her own DJ company and is the Program Manager and Lead Dance Captain for Studio T Arts & Entertainment. DJ Hannah Rose has performed, traveled, and attended workshops across the country, including: Pulse New York, LA Hip Hop Intensive, Monsters of Hip Hop, and ’ BuildaBeast. She has worked with artists like , Lecrae, DLow, Khaled, , and Kamaiyah. As a DJ she worked with professionals at her local radio station Hot 103.5.
