  • World Champion SF Giants Buster Posey and Matt Cain Both to Play in 2015 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro‐Am
Contact: Amanda Evans Monterey Peninsula Foundation (831) 649.1533 [email protected] World Champion SF Giants Buster Posey and Matt Cain Both To Play in 2015 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro‐Am Monterey, California, December 1, 2014 – Famous for their three World Series titles in the past five seasons, San Francisco Giants star catcher Buster Posey and pitcher Matt Cain have both accepted invitations to play in the 2015 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro‐Am, February 9‐15. While Cain has delighted fans at four previous tournaments, Posey is making a much‐anticipated debut in the pro‐am, which is played at Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course and the Monterey Peninsula Country Club’s Shore Course. Posey is an avid golfer who has played Augusta National Golf Club. Cain, who is making his fifth straight appearance in the AT&T Pro‐Am, made the cut in his first two appearances (2011‐2012). The World Champion duo joins a field of elite PGA TOUR professionals, including Jim Furyk, Padraig Harrington and winning Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley, as well as a celebrity field with fan favorites Ray Romano, Chris O’Donnell, Don Cheadle and Andy Garcia. Jimmy Walker is the defending champion. “We are thrilled that Buster Posey is joining us,” said Steve John, Monterey Peninsula Foundation CEO and tournament director. “He is a tremendously popular superstar who is certain to be an instant attraction. Enhancing our field with players like Buster Posey and Paul McGinley ensures the tournament experience stays fresh for both the spectators and the competitors.” Tickets are an excellent value – not to mention stocking stuffer – particularly when purchased by Feb.
