Boris Vincze Head Coach – Bantam Euless

Boris Vincze has been involved in hockey for nearly 30 years as a player and as a coach and instructor.

Boris played major and minor professional hockey in , France, Sweden, and USA in the 1990s, playing professional hockey for over 7 years. Growing up in Zilina, Slovakia (former ), Boris played in youth and junior hockey programs in his hometown. During those years in Slovakia, Boris played with and against many NHL players such as the late Pavol Demitra, Robert Petrovicky, and Zdeno Chara. Prior to his professional career, Boris played five seasons of Major Junior hockey in former Czechoslovakia in his hometown of Zilina, Slovakia.

Boris Vincze started his coaching career in the 1999-00 season in Dallas, TX, and has coached 700+ games in youth hockey. During this time, Boris helped bring the first ever TAHA Championship banner to the Dr. Pepper StarCenter in Euless in 2000-01 with his Pee Wee team. As a coach, Boris has won championships from a few prestigious tournaments such as the Can-Am Youth Hockey Tournament in Lake Placid, NY, at the site of the 1980 Olympics as well as Shattuck St. Mary's, MN, with his Midget Major team.

Boris holds a USA Hockey Level 5 - Masters Coaching Education license and IIHF (International Federation) Coaching certificates from Coaching Symposiums in 2004 in Prague, Czech Republic, and in 2011 in , Slovakia, during the IIHF Hockey World Championship tournaments.

Boris has been active within the hockey community over the years, organizing visits by youth hockey teams from Zilina, Slovakia, to participate in local DFW tournaments, where local hockey families host young Slovakian hockey players in their homes. Many of these visits have transferred not only into cultural exchanges but also into life-long friendships between American and Slovakian boys as well as their families. Some of the players who participated in these programs have gone on to succeed in pro-hockey. Two of these are Marek Hrivik who is currently playing in the system in AHL for Hartford Whale and Lukas Cingel of Lev Prague in KHL.

Boris is also a professional instructor at Dr. Pepper StarCenter’s coaching hockey schools, clinics and private lessons focusing on individual players’ hockey skills and development.

Boris reside in Arlington and he is employed by RAPP, marketing and advertising agency and the ’ Dr Pepper StarCenters.
