I Will Help Najib Maintain Public Order - Nur Jazlan Bernama July 28, 2015 KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 (Bernama) -- Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed, who was named deputy home minister in a Cabinet reshuffle today, says he will use the platform to help maintain public order and security. Thanking Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak for entrusting him with the portfolio, he said: "I promise to help him maintain public order and enhance the people's trust towards the government. I will also help (the new Deputy Prime Minister) Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. "At the same time, I will resign as chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC)," he said in a statement, following the reshuffle. According to him, all the proceedings, including those scheduled in August pertaining to 1Malaysia Development Berhad, would be postponed until the new PAC line-up was appointed at the next Parliamentary session. The member of parliament for Pulai took up the post of deputy home minister, which was previously held by Datuk Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar. The Cabinet reshuffle announced by Najib in Putrajaya, among others, saw Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin dropped as deputy prime minister and education minister. Meanwhile, Machang MP Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub, who was named rural and regional development deputy minister, described it as a huge trust which he would try his best to fulfill. "I will help the prime minister and the Barisan Nasional Government in its efforts to transform the rural areas, so they are not left behind when the country achieves its developed nation status by 2020," he said when contacted by Bernama today. -

National Security Is a Sensitive Subject. a Country's Survival, Growth
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY National security is a sensitive subject. A country’s survival, growth and development depend on a well crafted and consciously implemented national security policy. By nature, national security implementation should always be at a competitive edge relative to internal and external security threats. As a result, the state cannot easily disclose or expose its national security policies and plans without sufficient cause. Zimbabwe’s national security implementation is guided and instructed by the Public Order and Security Act, the Official Secrets Act and the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act. These acts complement one another and are applied flexibly enough to suit the prevailing circumstances The Acts ensure that order, peace and stability prevail, and that the state’s secrets are protected from those who are not entitled to them. State secrets are the preserve of responsible authorities who implement them to control the variables that affect the survival, growth and development of the state. While the call for the right to access to information may sound cogent, it is important to note that it cannot be guaranteed that the information will not be used against the interests of the state and private individuals. In the Zimbabwean context, the phenomenon of the public demanding access to security information is not significant. The public is aware of the sensitivity of state secrets and security information, and it is not common to identify ordinary people craving for security information. Those who demand the information are political malcontents bent on finding a pretext for fomenting anarchy. Public order is maintained by the Zimbabwe Republic Police, and national defence is guaranteed by the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, but for effective protection of the nation, security information is the preserve of those entitled to access it and use it, and not just anybody who might use it against the interests of the state. -

Segala puji dan syukur saya panjatkan kepada Allah SWT kerana atas berkat dan rahmat-Nya, dapat saya mengumumkan barisan Kabinet yang telah mendapat perkenan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in Billah. 2. Berdasarkan ramalan Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO), kita akan hidup bersama COVID-19 sebagai endemik, yang bersifat kekal dan menjadi sebahagian daripada kehidupan manusia. 6. Dunia mencatatkan kemunculan Variant of Concern (VOC) yang lebih agresif dan rekod di seluruh dunia menunjukkan mereka yang telah divaksinasi masih boleh dijangkiti COVID- 19. 7. Oleh itu, kerajaan akan memperkasa Agenda Nasional Malaysia Sihat (ANMS) dalam mendidik Keluarga Malaysia untuk hidup bersama virus ini. Kita perlu terus mengawal segala risiko COVID-19 dan mengamalkan norma baharu dalam kehidupan seharian.
