Later, step out to enjoy sightseeing around this beautiful place. You can begin by visiting Shree Siddhivinayak Temple to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha. After this, visit the Gateway of India, Marine Drive, Colaba Market and Prince of Wales Museum. Return to the hotel after this long day of sightseeing and have a comfortable overnight stay. Day 2: Mumbai – Bhimashankar ‐ This morning, you take a transfer to your next destination, Bhimashankar. Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga is known to have one of the 12 highly sacred Jyotirlingas in India. The star attraction of this place is the sacred Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga which is considered to be one of holiest Jyotirlinga out of the 12 Jyotirlinga of Shiva's. The temple is set amid the backdrop of greenery. After having your breakfast, start driving towards Bhimashankar, which is around 220 kms from Mumbai. On reaching Bhimashankar, check‐in to the hotel. Visit the Bhimashankar Temple and seek blessings of Lord Shiva. In the evening, you can visit Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary and explore the natural beauty of the place. Later, return to the hotel for dinner. Stay overnight at the hotel. Day 3: Bhimashankar ‐ Shirdi – Shani Shignpur – Aurangabad‐ Munch your breakfast early in the morning and then leave for Shirdi. Shirdi is located at a distance of around 183 kms from Bhimashankar. Shirdi is a small town which is well‐known across the world for the saint Sai Baba. Shirdi is an important pilgrimage site and people from all over visit this place to seek the blessings of Sai Baba. Journey Quests On reaching Shirdi, visit Samadhi Mandir, Khandoba Temple and Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Complex. Later, drive towards Shani Shingnapur which is 65 km from Shirdi. The place is believed to be the home of Lord Shaneshwara who is known to be the personification of the planet Saturn. Visit the temple and pay homage to Lord Shanidev. Later, in the evening proceed to Aurangabad, at a distance of 80 km. Overnight stay in hotel at Aurangabad. Day 4: Aurangabad – Grishneshwar – Trimbakeshwar/ Nashik ‐ Begin your morning with a visit to Grishneshwar Temple. Grishneshwar Jyotilinga is also home to one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. The temple here is architecturally beautiful which is likely to leave you spellbound. The divine bliss you experience here is worth chersihing. Later, drive towards Nasik. Overnight stay in hotel. Day 5: Nasik – Trimbakeshwar – Mumbai‐ Early morning drive towards Trimbakeshwar. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple is a famous attraction and a number of devotees visit every year. Later, return back to the hotel for breakfast and then leave for Mumbai and drop at the Mumbai airport. .

    BHIMASHANKAR Bhimashankar is located about 100 km from Pune and 223 km from Mumbai. Bhimashankar is popularly known as temple town. One of the twelve traditional 'Jyotilingam' shrines of Lord Shiva in India is found in Bhimashankar. Bhimashankar is surrounded by hills and is covered by thick green rainforests.     JASC: Journal of Applied Science and Computations ISSN NO: 1076-5131 “ASSESSMENT OF NON-BIODEGRADABLE WASTE SPREAD IN BHIMASHANKAR WILDLIFE SANCTUARY” Authors: Prof. Amol Handore, Ashoka College of Education, Nashik Mr. Shantanu Goel, Assistant Director Wetlands Policy, BNHS Mr. Siddharth Edake, Associate Fellow, TERI, New Delhi Abstract: The spread of non-degradable waste in Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary (BWS) is considered to be a huge problem, while the actual damage caused by the same is not yet assessed. The sanctuary is well known pilgrim place and due to which attracts lot of tourists which generate a large quantitative of non biodegradable waste. The study tried to assess the spread of non degradable solid waste along frequently visited areas as well as along streams in sanctuary. There is a significant difference in the area covered by non-degradable wastes from pre and post Shravan sampling from all sampled areas. The total area covered by non degradable solid waste has been found to be below 5% from all areas except quadrat no. 1 of the control so it may not be the major issue of BWS. Though Bhimashankar being primarily a wildlife sanctuary it is well known for lord Shiva temple which is visited by about three hundred thousand pilgrims annually since it is among 12 most important Shiva temples in the country (Borges, 1996). While thousands of pilgrims congregate to this temple during the month long festival of “Shravan”(Month of August), and on Mahashivratri and Tripuri Purnima, Bhimashankar with its breath taking views and thick forest cover has always been a favorite of wildlife tourists and trekkers.
