LOS ANGELES 'CAMEL EXPRESS' ' The Los Angeles Philatelic. Club, in cel­ ebration of Niational Philatelic week, had Section One: four pouches of mail delivered to collec­ tors by "Camel Express" on N_ov. 5th, Postmaster Briggs .of Los Angeles first dispatched the covers to Fort Tejon, Cal., 75 miles away. Three camels carried the f:;ke of merican mail from Fort Tejon over the old post route which, in 1856 relied on camel mail from the Fort to Los Angeles.
