CALL TO ARTISTS – SCULPTURE TRAIL

The Salthouse Sculpture Trail was launched in 2008 by the North Exhibition Project which mounts the annual exhibition of Norfolk contemporary art in Salthouse Church. The Trail has the twin purposes of showing Norfolk contemporary artwork and creating a route for people to view the natural beauty of . It runs through Salthouse village to Salthouse heath, Kelling village, , Kelling Heath Holiday Park, Holt town and Holt Country Park and is open all year.

Works must be environmentally friendly. They can be permanent or long-lasting but biodegradable. Works for summer display only will be considered as will proposals for workshops that will result in works that will meet the above criteria and are not ephemeral.

The Trail Sub-Committee will consider paying up to £500 to purchase works. This sum includes transport and installation. For display over the summer months the sub-committee will pay an exhibiting fee of up to £100 but artists have to accept the risk of damage or theft as works are in exposed outdoor sites.

The NNEP has public liability insurance for the Trail.

Trail proposals can be sent in at any time but ones received by the end of October 2010 will be particularly welcome.
