Eric Balchunas is director of IdRatherBeHere Productions and has written and directed all four Wawapalooza shows for the Philly Fringe. His scripts have been produced at the Adrienne The- atre, Society Hill Playhouse, Shubin Theatre, Helium Comedy Club and UPENN. Most recently he worked as Assistant Director on Magic Circle’s production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. He also just finished writing/co-producing a 15 minute short film calledThe Mustache which will be submitted to national film festivals later this year. Eric is a member of the Philadelphia Dramatists Center. Working with this cast is the most fun he’s ever had, except when they don’t do exactly what he says. August Milligan is from a small fishing village in Finland. He moved to the shortly after learning that his biological parents were actually U.S. citizens who were killed during a heated Candyland tournament, now known as “The Milton Bradley Massacre.” Upon reaching the states, Augustus settled in the beautiful countryside of Pennsauken, as it most WAWAPALOOZA 4 closely resembled his boyhood home. Mala Wright has performed since the age of 5. She works professionally as a storyteller, voiceover artist and actress in film and television. On television Mala has made appearances on Extreme Forensics, Cinematherapy and So You Think You Can Dance. Her upcoming films include 15 Till Midnight, My New Haircut, and The House Of Malik. Mala is excited to be in Wawapalooza 4 and thanks everyone for their support. Damaged Goods Amanda Strand is so excited to be the newest Wawapalooza member. She has been a Philadelphia resident for the past 8 years, is a graduate of The University of The Arts and holds a BFA in Acting. She can’t remember the last time she has had so much fun on stage. She would like to remind her fellow cast mates that she is not a prop. Jeff Soles is a stand-up comedian and has been performing in and around the Philly area since Jan 2004. Jeff has performed on Comcast’s On Demand, Comix in NY, Laugh Lounge and New York Comedy Club. Most recently he has opened several successful acts, including Leon Red- bone at the Colonial Theater in Phoenixville, PA, ’s Todd Glass, and writer for the Rosie O’Donnell Show Janette Barber. Jeff’s first short film,The List, co-wrote with Eric, is featured in this year’s show, based on his stand up about trouble keeping a relationship. Bonnie Quick has filled all four falls since graduating from University of the Arts with WAWA- PALOOZA. She would like to thank the cast and crew for such a great time; also thanks to Matt, her family and her friends for all their support! Tony Mahon is excited and grateful to be an original “old school” Wawapaloozer. Prior to his run with Wawapalooza he was last seen at The Plays and Players theatre in a production of The Unexpected Guest. He is thrilled to back with with his “buds” at Society Hill Playhouse but what really warms his heart is the chance to do what he loves with his daughter, Alexandra. Tony would like to dedicate this performance to the memory of his mother, Marica Mahon, who was a star on the stage and now is a star in the sky. Alexandra Mahon cannot believe a chance “fill in” has turned into a four year run with Wawapalooza. Besides her run with Wawapalooza Alex was most recently seen in Moorestown Friends School’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. She has been comforted by the fact that as you get older you can still act like a kid which has been demon- strated by her friends in the cast. Alex is also happy to be performing with her father. He is the greatest Dad in the whole wide world. (My Dad made me write that). Dan Plunkett has performed at Society Hill Playhouse with Wawapalooza for two seasons, and is thrilled to be working with the cast for Season Four. He also has worked on several short films with Scrambled Egg Productions, including the 48 Hour Film Challenge, and has also performed at Helium Comedy Club, and Adrienne Theater. Most recently he served as produc- tion manager on the short film “The Mustache.” Dan likes performing comedy theater as it is a great way to escape from the combative day-to-day corporate workplace. Welcome to Wawapalooza 4: Damaged Goods. Just a quick note, this year we are Wawapalooza 4 trying something new by having an art slide show before the show starts. Inspired by the Ritz Movie Theatres, we thought it would be nice to look at some great local art instead of our boring logo. Below is a list of each artist and where you can check Damaged Goods out more of their work. Thanks again for coming out to the show. Enjoy. (Running time: 70 min) -Eric
