SÄTER HOSPITAL, MONDAY, 2 JUNE 2008 THE SERIAL KILLER, sadist and cannibal Sture Bergwall had not been receiving visitors for the past seven years. I was filled with nervous anticipation as I was let into the main guarded entrance at the regional forensic psychiatric clinic in Säter. ‘Hannes Råstam, Swedish Television. I’m here to see Sture Berg- wall . .’ I dropped my press pass into the little stainless- steel drawer under the bulletproof glass between me and the guard. He confirmed that my visit had been logged and approved. ‘Go through the security gate. Don’t touch the door!’ I obeyed the scratchy voice from the speaker, passed through an automatic door, then a couple of metal detectors and finally through one more automatic door into a waiting room where a care assistant rummaged through my shoulder bag. I followed my guide’s firm steps through an inexplicable system of corridors, stairs and elevators. Her heels tapped against the concrete floors; then silence, the rattling of keys at every new steel barrier, the bleep of electronic locks and slamming of armoured doors. Thomas Quick had confessed to more than thirty murders. Six unan- imous courts had found him guilty of the murders of eight people. After the last verdict in 2001 he withdrew, announced a ‘time out’, reassumed his old name – Sture Bergwall – and went quiet. In the seven years that followed, a heated debate about whether Quick was 657EE_txt.indd 3 5/23/13 9:37 AM 4 HANNES RÅSTAM a serial killer or a pathological liar had bubbled up at regular intervals.

Therese Johannesen was murdered in Drammen, Norway in 1988. Trine Jensen was murdered in Oslo in 1981. Gry Storvik was murdered in Oslo in 1985. All of these murders went unsolved until Sture Bergwall, who would subsequently change his name to Thomas Quick, confessed to every one them in the mid-1990s. He was convicted of all eight murders and would ultimately spend 20 years in a locked psychiatric clinic, Säter Hospital, which has been likened to a Swedish Broadmoor. Just one problem: he made everything up. This extraordinary story was made into a documentary film in 2015 – The Confessions of Thomas Quick. It is difficult to believe that Bergwall’s fancies ever successfully took flight. Dan Josefsson, an award-winning Swedish journalist, comments: 1 It was ludicrous. His stories were ridiculous. Nothing added up. He couldn’t show any hidden bodies or people who disappeared – ever.

Po úvodním přehledu všech sto šestnácti v kinodistribuci nasazených filmů (pokud není uvedeno jinak, jde o dlouhometrážní díla) následuje hlavní část, abecedně seřazený soupis snímků v podobě hesel s filmografickými, technickými, produkčními a distribučními údaji a s informativními texty.

  • Mediebilden Av Sture Bergwall Och Thomas Quick

  • Sweden's Worst Serial Killer No More: All Murder Charges Dropp
On 31 July 2013 Karl Ritter of the Associated Press reported “Sweden’s worst serial killer no more: All murder charges dropped” [Sture Bergwall] STOCKHOLM: Prosecutors on Wednesday dropped the last remaining charges against a man who was once considered Sweden’s worst serial killer, but whose eight murder convictions were overturned after he withdrew his confessions. S Yvonne Asell / AP File Photo Prosecutors in Sweden on Wednesday dropped the last remaining charges against Sture Bergwall, who was once considered Sweden's worst serial killer, but whose eight murder convictions were overturned after he withdrew his confessions. Prosecutors on Wednesday dropped the last remaining charges against a man who was once considered Sweden’s worst serial killer, but whose eight murder convictions were overturned after he withdrew his confessions. Psychiatric officials will now evaluate whether 63-year-old Sture Bergwall can be released from the secure mental health unit where he’s been held since 1991. Bergwall confessed to more than 30 murders over three decades and was convicted of eight of them. But he later said he had lied to investigators because he craved attention and was heavily medicated. Retrials were ordered in each case, but prosecutors said that without the confessions they didn’t have enough evidence to go back to court. On Wednesday they dropped the final case, which involved the death of a 15-year-old boy who disappeared in northern Sweden in 1976. Bergwall was convicted in 1994 of murdering the boy, even though there was no technical evidence linking him to the crime and the cause of death could not be established.

  • Thomas Quick: Caso De Construcción De Un Asesino En Serie
