November 4 - 12, 2017 HAMILTON FILM FESTIVAL NOVEMBER 4 - 12, 2017 ABOUT THE FESTIVAL : The 12th annual Hamilton Film Festival screens a juried selection of local & international independent films. We have hosted filmmakers travelling to our event from Australia, Austria, Cyprus, France, Germany, Italy, US and all across Canada. We connect filmmakers and give them another voice. We celebrate the art of movie making from concept to completion. From the budding filmmaker to the pro, we are always working to move the film industry in Hamilton...a little further each year. ~Nathan Fleet, Festival Director 2017 BOX OFFICE Box office opens 1/2 hour before each screening during the week of the festival Nov 4- 12th. We hold 20 tickets at the box office for walk-up sales. Sorry, no reservations! The box office is inside the Stair-case Theatre at 27 Dundurn Street North. You can also purchase tickets at the venues 1/2 hour before each screening. Tickets will be available online throughout the festival at HamiltonFilmFestival.com. Time never seems to stand still at LIAF HQ, though sometimes we wish it did. Writing this introduction to the festival is like a sort-of taking stock for me. A time to reflect on the year that’s been. Moving LIAF two months later in the year (and into ‘festival season’ as everyone keeps telling me) is probably the biggest change for us this year. Out of late Summer and into early Autumn, where the nights are drawing in. Will that mean more people will be wanting to gather inside the warm, darkened spaces of the cinema? Let us see.
