The mycological collection started in 1999 with contributions from university students and specialists who deposited their specimens in the cryptogam section of the QCNE Herbarium. Since 2013 the information has been digitized and 4400 records were taken as the basis for this manuscript. The objective of this work is to present the list of species of fungi of the mycological collection of QCNE. The collection of fungi is organized according to the criteria of the most recent specialized literature, and 319 species of fungi are reported, corresponding to samples from the Ascomycota and Basidiomycota divisions.

  • Diversity of Macromycetes in the Botanical Garden “Jevremovac” in Belgrade
40 (2): (2016) 249-259 Original Scientific Paper Diversity of macromycetes in the Botanical Garden “Jevremovac” in Belgrade Jelena Vukojević✳, Ibrahim Hadžić, Aleksandar Knežević, Mirjana Stajić, Ivan Milovanović and Jasmina Ćilerdžić Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, Takovska 43, 11000 Belgrade, Serbia ABSTRACT: At locations in the outdoor area and in the greenhouse of the Botanical Garden “Jevremovac”, a total of 124 macromycetes species were noted, among which 22 species were recorded for the first time in Serbia. Most of the species belong to the phylum Basidiomycota (113) and only 11 to the phylum Ascomycota. Saprobes are dominant with 81.5%, 45.2% being lignicolous and 36.3% are terricolous. Parasitic species are represented with 13.7% and mycorrhizal species with 4.8%. Inedible species are dominant (70 species), 34 species are edible, five are conditionally edible, eight are poisonous and one is hallucinogenic (Psilocybe cubensis). A significant number of representatives belong to the category of medicinal species. These species have been used for thousands of years in traditional medicine of Far Eastern nations. Current studies confirm and explain knowledge gained by experience and reveal new species which produce biologically active compounds with anti-microbial, antioxidative, genoprotective and anticancer properties. Among species collected in the Botanical Garden “Jevremovac”, those medically significant are: Armillaria mellea, Auricularia auricula.-judae, Laetiporus sulphureus, Pleurotus ostreatus, Schizophyllum commune, Trametes versicolor, Ganoderma applanatum, Flammulina velutipes and Inonotus hispidus. Some of the found species, such as T. versicolor and P. ostreatus, also have the ability to degrade highly toxic phenolic compounds and can be used in ecologically and economically justifiable soil remediation.

(2017): First report of Mycena clavata (Fungi, Agaricales)in the Czech Republic including notes on its taxonomy, phylogenetic position and ecology. – Czech Mycol. 69(1): 1–14. The rare gilled fungus Mycena clavata is reported from the Czech Republic for the first time. It was found on large fallen trunks of Picea abies in Boubínský prales virgin forest, the best preserved montane old-growth forest in the country. The basidiomata occurred in the lower half of the trunks, either on their upper or lateral sides, on bark covered by mosses, on bare bark, or directly on wood covered by mosses, in wet times of the year. Descriptions and photographs of macro- and microcharacters are provided and data on the distribution and ecology of M. clavata are summa- rised. The species was sequenced for the first time. ITS-LSU rDNA sequences confirmed the species’ distinct position and showed that M. clavata belongs to a moderately supported clade consisting of various Mycena and Hemimycena species, some of them recently transferred to the vaguely delim- ited genus Phloeomana. Key words: Europe, Boubínský prales virgin forest, Bohemian Forest, ITS-LSU rDNA sequences, Phloeomana.

This fungal flora has a richness of 752 species belonging to the class of Basidiomycetes, divided into 19 orders, 62 families and 165 genera. The present catalog of rifain fungal flora constitutes a large contribution to the knowledge of the biodiversity of fungi in the Moroccan Rif. The species are completed and updated with new science and arranged according to the main mycological classification. However, it is certain that the attentive and methodical explorations in the Rifain forests could be the origin of new discoveries for the fungal flora of Morocco.

  • EXTENDED CASE STUDY: Fungal Surveys of Two Sites in Nidderdale AONB
EXTENDED CASE STUDY: Fungal surveys of two sites in Nidderdale AONB Peter Duffy, Mid Yorkshire Fungus Group Introduction The Mid Yorkshire Fungus Group (MYFG) visits various sites in Yorkshire for the purposes of finding, identifying and recording fungi. Two in particular, Swinsty Reservoir and Fountains Abbey, have been visited regularly over a period in excess of 10 years. In this extended case study MYFG presents a summary of our fungal finds and records for the two sites in the Nidderdale AONB as a contribution to The Wild Watch Project. Sites Fountains Abbey Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal (FASR) was purchased by the National Trust from North Yorkshire County Council in 1983. The Abbey is one of the most famous and spectacular Cistercian ruins in Europe, and its adjunct, Studley Royal Park, with its exquisite landscaping and water features, is hardly less renowned. The site was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1986. MYFG have been visiting Fountains Abbey at least once a year, usually during October, since 2009. We usually meet at the Lakeside car park and enter via the rear gate; we then follow the same route each year, turning left towards the bridge over the lake, crossing the bridge, and then up through the tunnel and along the High Ride. We then make our way back along the lakeside path, and up towards the Banqueting House, and finally back out the way we came. From a mycological point of view, the route offers a wide variety of habitats and substrates, including both coniferous and broadleaf woodland, and (mostly improved) grassland.

Anahtar kelimeler: makrofunguslar, biyoçeşitlilik, taksonomi, Kütahya, Türkiye 1. Introduction The studies on Turkish mycota have been carried out for more than one hundred years (Solak et al., 2015) and nearly 2400 macrofungi species have been documented in the checklists of Turkey (Solak et al., 2007; Sesli and Denchev 2008; Acar et al. 2015; Sesli et al., 2015; Solak et al., 2015; Akata et al. 2016; Doğan and Kurt 2016; Sesli et al. 2016). However, Turkish mycota have not yet been fully determined, and new macrofungi records and checklists of some limited areas have also been published by several researchers as a consequence of routine field and laboratory studies. Prior to this study, Kütahya province was the one of the areas in which macrofungi biodiversity was not determined.
