The east-west trough at mean sea level from East Uttar Pradesh to Nagaland across Bihar, SubHimalayan West Bengal and Assam persists and now extends upto 1.5 km above mean sea level. 27.05.2020 Orange Warnings: 1. Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind (wind Speed 30 – 40 KMPH) and Very heavy rainfall at isolated places is very likely over Golaghat Hojai Karbi Anglong Cachar, Dima Hasao, Hailakandi, Karimganj &West Karbi Anglong district of Assam Mamit, Kolasib & Aizwal districts of Mizoram. 2. Very Heavy rainfall at isolated places is very likely over Champhai, Lawngtlai , Lunglei , Saiha & Serchhip districts of Mizoram. Yellow warnings: 3. Heavy rainfall at isolated places is very likely over Namsai, Changlang Triap & Longding districts of Arunachal Pradesh. 4. The location of the quarry site as has been recommended by the Department of Environment and Forest, Government of Assam to issue the Mining Lease is in the river bed of Panjan River, which is a perennial river with high degree of Sand and Gravel deposition on its course.
