Please note that participants are responsible for making all of their own hotel accommodation reservations; OEM has not made any arrangements with these hotels. Taxi: Taxis are located outside of each terminal’s Arrival area. Once departing from your flight, follow the signs to baggage claim. There you will see signs indicating where Taxis are located on the forecourt. All taxis should follow a standard charge system—which is all metered— so no one taxi company is preferred over another. However always find out fare prices before entering a taxi. Travel Time: 20-30 minutes Fare: $20-$45 Train: The MBTA Line is locally known as the “T”. Free, blue and white shuttle buses run to and from the T every 10-15 minutes. When boarding the bus, make sure your final destination is the “MBTA Blue Line to Airport Station.” If your arrival terminal is A or B, look for Shuttle #22. If your arrival terminal is C or E, look for Shuttle # 33. **Note: Once in the subway system you may be required to change lines. From the airport you will be boarding the Blue Line. Call your hotel and ask for more explicit directions.** The T runs from 5:30 am-12:30 am daily. Trains run every 4-11 minutes Train Fair: $1.25 o 1 day pass: $7.50 o 3 day pass: $18.00 o 7 day pass: $35.00 Bus/Van: The MBTA Silver Line is a rapid transit bus service linking the airport to many downtown areas. Bus fare: $1.25. A number of companies run bus and shared van services from Logan airport. Once on the forecourt look for yellow signs marked “Shared Vans.” Vans cycle every 10-15 minutes. Reservations are normally required, so you may want to do this before you land in Boston. The following services are available: Ace American operate a shared van service to many Boston hotels. Start out going North on Terminal C/Terminal D (0.1 miles) Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto ramp (0.8 miles) Stay STRAIGHT to go onto MA-1A S/ WILLIAM F MCCLELLAN HWY/ EAST BOSTON EXPY (Portions of this HWY may be subject to Toll fees. Have loose change available)(1.5 miles) Turn SLIGHT left to take the ramp toward I-93 NORTH/GOVERNMENT CENTER (<0.1 miles) Take the ramp toward GOV'T CTR. (0.1 miles) Turn SLIGHT LEFT to take the ramp toward GOV'T CENTER / FANEUIL HALL (<0.1 miles) Stay STRAIGHT to go onto NEW CHARDON ST. (<0.1 miles) Turn SHARP LEFT onto MERRIMAC ST. (<0.1 miles) Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto CONGRESS ST. (<0.1 miles) End at US Env Protection Agency 1 Congress St, Boston, MA 02114, US *Please note that exits and roadways change, close and open all the time due to the Big Dig. These directions may have inaccuracies. Public Transportation is the way to go in Boston. 3 Parking Garage: If you choose to park your car you may do so in the "Kinney System Government Center Parking Garage." This garage is located directly under Region one offices. However, access to the building cannot be granted via garage elevators. To enter the building: Exit garage onto street level Walk to the pedestrian entrance located at the corner of Congress and New Chardon Street. th Take the elevators to the 11 floor to the Region one’s main reception area. Arrive at Airport Station platform and board the Blue Lint Train headed Westbound Exit at Bowdoin Station Blue Line Platform (10 –15 minutes) Exit to street level and proceed with the following walking directions (0.24 miles): o Walk a short distance S on Brattle Way o Turn left on Cambridge St. o Walk approx. 1 block E on Cambridge St. o Turn left on New Sudbury St. o Walk approx. 2 blocks NE on New Sudbury St. Dining Boston is a bustling city where finding something to eat won’t be a problem; however trying to decide on just one of the MANY restaurants will be! Wherever you decide to stay within the downtown area, you will be just minutes away from three very different but entertaining restaurant “hubs”: Northend (Italian), Saneuil Hall (Sea Food, Burgers, Street Performers), and Back Bay (Fine Dining/ Steak Houses). **Note: All restaurants are within a 10-15 minute walk. The restaurants listed are merely examples of possible dining options.
