The Spring Capsule Wardrobe - The Spring Capsule Wardrobe made with - Seasonal and Capsule Colours for Spring 2017 This season's trend colours are: For the Spring Capsule Wardrobe we've used classic neutrals of Biscuit, Camel, Navy and Soft White. For the accents there are Mint, Emerald Turquoise and this season's Lapis Blue. Then you have alternatives to choose from depending on whether you have a warm skin tone or a cool skin tone. For warm there is a seasonal trend Primrose Yellow and Mustard and for cool you have seasonal trend Dogwood and Blush Pink. - Spring Capsule wardrobe Pieces Below are the pieces that make up this Spring capsule wardrobe. Carefully chosen to create a maximum number of outfits around the key Spring trends but in a way that can be adapted to suit you, whatever your colouring, size or body shape. Think of the pieces as your guide. You can buy the exact item from the link or choose one of the alternatives (chosen in different budgets and sizing ranges) The accent colours in the capsule are Emerald Turquoise, Mint and Lapis Blue. Then you can make a choice dependent on your colouring. For warm toned skin there is seasonal Primrose Yellow and Mustard and for cool toned skin there is Dogwood Pink and Blush. June 2016 Title: The capsule closet phenomenon – A phenomenological study of lived experiences with capsule closets Publication year: 2016 Author: Giuliana Heger Supervisor: Jonas Larsson Abstract The idea for this paper resulted out of a curiosity for minimalist lifestyle concepts, namely capsule closets and the missing research about this topic as well as the importance of this concept for the society, the environment and the future of the fashion and textile industry. The study describes a phenomenological study in which the researcher explored participants’ lived experiences with capsule closets in order to provide a better understanding of the capsule closet experience. Fixed-interval diaries and semi-structured in-depth interviews with five women were conducted. Using descriptive phenomenological analysis, the researcher identified seven essential themes representing the lived experiences found in participants’ experience with capsule closets: 1) Feeling excited, enthusiastic and determined; 2) Feeling relived and satisfied; 3) Experiencing struggles and challenges; 4) Feelings of guilt and regret; 5) Feeling limited, bored and less creative; 6) Feelings of accomplishment and proudness; 7) Learning experience. These findings both support and contribute to existing literature related to this topic and provide new insights and add new aspects to the knowledge of the capsule closet experience. Thanks to the recent advances in multimedia techniques, many researches have promoted the automatic creation of capsule wardrobes by the garment modeling. Nevertheless, most capsule wardrobes generated by existing methods fail to consider the user profile, including the user preferences, body shapes and consumption habits, which indeed largely affects the wardrobe creation. To this end, we introduce a combinatorial optimization- Preference based personalized capsule wardrobe creation framework, named Body Shape PCW-DC, which jointly integrates both garment modeling (i.e., Compatibility wardrobe compatibility) and user modeling (i.e., preferences, body shapes). I’ve picked 26 items (many of which are in my own closet!) that you can mix and match to create well over 500 outfits, no matter the occasion! Capsule wardrobes have been something my readers have requested and asked me about over the years, but it’s just not something I really had time to dedicate to… until now! This summer I added someone to my team who has helped free up time for me to step outside the box, work on new content and really get creative. As my longtime readers will know, I’m a big believer of investing in high quality basics.
