COACHES Varsity: A1 Pisano begins his fifth season as head lacrosse coach at Cortland with a 34-12-1 record. He has moved Cortland to the fore­ front in college lacrosse in his four years, including a national ranking of 12th in 1967. He also produced three Ail-Americans, Mike Waldvogel, Stan Kowalski and Pete Roy. last season. A 1961 graduate of Cortland, A1 obtained his M.S. degree from Penn State and taught and coached at Berner High School on Long Island before returning to his alma mater. He also serves as an instructor in physical educa­ tion and assistant football coach. Freshmen: Toby Hargreave begins his first head coaching assign­ ment with the freshman lacrosse team. A graduate of Cortland in January, 1968, he spent the remainder of the year on the teaching staff at the College. He is currently working toward his M.S. degree at Cortland as a graduate assistant. As an undergraduate, Toby par­ ticipated in football, basketball, lacrosse and wrestling. He has served as an assistant football and basketball coach for two years.

1969 OUTLOOK The 1969 Red Dragons will be led by two returning Ail-Americans, seniors Mike "Bones" Waldvogel and Stan Kowalski. Waldvogel was named to the Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Small College Ail-American first team, while Kowalski earned second team BARNEY WILLIAMS JIM McCONNELL honors. Kowalski received All-American honors for the second year Tennis in successsion, having earned honorable mention acclaim as a sopho­ more. Cortland should be well-manned on attack, midfield and defense. STATE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE The big question to be resolved is who will play goalie. Junior Pete AT CORTLAND Roy, a second team All-American last season, is unable to play this season for medical reasons.
